"See the reasoning here is that since only 2000 dropped dead in the first 20 minutes of the normandy invasion, only 250 a week in Vietnam in 68 then by bloody hell its ok to hit the 2000 mark of dead bodies in a the War in Iraq..."
redpimp.....I noticed that too, that the supporters of the Iraq Quagmire like to compare the numbers and claim that all these other wars like the civil war and WWII wasted so many more lives.....
Almost like 2000 lives lost in Iraq are merely expendable....
The key is, as the numbers go up....say from 2000 to 2500....then they just have to count another year in the Vietnam comparison.....come up with something like:
"Yeah, we've lost 2500 men but compared to Vietnam in 68, 69, and 70, what seems like 2500 men is really a bargain...."
Keep on sending them over.....they have thier fanatic religion, we have leaders with hard heads willing to feed our resources into the meatgrinder.....July was the same as June, May, April, and every month since we set foot over there....August will be the same, religiously guaranteed.:drink:
