My Last System of the MLB season: Simply titled ("The Money Maker")

Today i will be posting my plays in an entirely new system.. This is going to be my last new system to introduce this MLB season (football is approaching).. This is a culmination of all my work this entire season.. It involves certain aspects of a lot of systems.. I know im full of alot of BS and if some of you feel this way, simply skip the posts... If this system works, i believe that it can work for all the professional sports (MLB/NFL/NHL/NBA). It involves both sides and totals, it also encompasses a great deal of "money management", which i think is of the utmost importance.. It has a tad bit of the martingale effect to it but is not built upon it.. Plays will be in a 1-2-3-4 unit format, with a breakdown like this.
1 unit: around 55% of the plays
2 unit: around 30% of the plays
3 unit: around 10-15% of the plays
4 unit: around 5% of the plays

I do not care to elaborate on this one, until i have at least 100 plays on the record and as i stated this is my last new system of the MLB season, i will however continue to monitor the (home team system) for record keeping purposes, record of that now stands at 342-429 (+41.22 units).

Ill list the plays for today, in this thread. I am getting a new notebook set up for this final assault.. Plenty of good cappers here to follow, WS/Bucs/Tn/Chop/D-one and several others, this thread is for me to stay focused and disciplined and to adhere to a strict set of rules and guidelines, i am planning on making alot of money between now and Thanksgiving (my next vacation) and ive got to remain focused.. Lets forget about all the other systems and concentrate on the "Money Maker".

thx Moe, this is my Last and Most imortant system so far.. The reason that its the most important is because, i really think this one can work.. ive taken the best aspects of several different things.. The plays and series of plays are designed for one thing (to make money).. For record keeping purposes here and i hope to be posting in this format for a long time, One Unit = $100.. all plays will be at pinny/with listed pitchers only.. I also think this is going to work year round, that will remain to be seen.. Here goes my last shot:

Money Maker Day 1: 0-0 (+0.00 units)

Plays for thursday:

1. Brewers (-1.39)
2. Dbacks (+1.48)
3. Dodgers (-1.22)
4. Rockies (+1.18)
5. Seattle (-1.10)
6. SF/Mil over 9 (-1.05)
7. KC/TB over 9.5 (+1.02)

all plays for 1 unit today.. will definately post and follow this one through 100 plays and hopefully we will be profitable and run this one year round, from now on.. Couldnt tell you the amount of hours, that ive put in this season but lets hope it really starts to payoff this weekend..

ok moe, ive jumped in feet first today with $100 on each of them... and your right i have put alot of time in.. this time and the makings of this system include: some series betting/some handicapping/rankings of the teams (this includes both home and away rankings), categorizing the teams as (over or under teams). and all this will tie into a strict money management plan.. and in stating this, there will be a few times that im on a big favorite and if i am, it will probably be for a higher unit amount..

Now are your 1 unti plays just one unit or are you playing like $139 to make a 100 on a -139 fav?..Or a 100 to make 63$ or whatever?

this is it for me Patriot, ill continue to monitor the home team theroy but this system here, is my shot... If it works, it should work for all sports.. Dont be scared by the martingale aspect, it is not a full martingale and im a big time stickler for money management,,, i do not do anything that loses money.. i would stop first.. however i must see this thing through 100 plays, no matter the initial results.. i have alot on the line with this one, i have a friend working this angle through a local, i have 3 investors (whose money is in my bankroll).. i have a lot of time and effort tied up.. Like i said, this is my shot..... but in saying that, i wont be stupid with it.. ive got a large bankroll (built and untouched for the most part, over several years) so todays plays are only a very small % of it (quite a bit less than 1% per play) but thats not important, whats important is, Will this work??? and will it work long term?,, i think YES and im going to start proving it, then it is simply a matter of increasing the $$$ amount per unit..

at the end of this season, I'll send you what i have as far as my daily record keeping of daily opening lines and winning pct. I have on each team with charts and graphs...maybe you can come up with something to either add or help for next year.

funny you mention that angle, i have not included it -- in what im doing here.. but i have done quite a bit of work with that in football and basketball, mostly on the college level.. amazing how well it works at times, then it seemed when i through real money at it, it didnt work..

that angle was a little too time consuming for me as well, i didnt want to constantly watch the screen.. big early moves getting steamed late.. and me caught in the middle or on the wrong end..

how do you even know if one system ever works over another? I mean it seems that you change them as often as you change your socks?

expected that reply, told you i was full of BS..

it helps that ive been doing this since 1986 and i have run countless system tests and modified versions of many more.. back testing also helps a great deal in these endeavors.. however nothing is as important as "real live money" wagers, sometimes system testing is like "paper trading" in the stock market, everything seems to work on paper but the real world is far different..

you wont have to worry about anymore of the systems, this is the last one that i will bring to the forum this season.. good luck on your plays SS..

SSI... I just record the opening line each day from scores and odds, so its not that involved...I may go back and put the closing line next to it and do some evaluation...but your talking as of right now about 3000 games with another 1200 or so to go.

Math Prof, lets just wait and see... i am 100% certain going to play and post at least 100 plays here -- using this system, if it posts a 30-70 record and loses many units (wont be any need in discussing its parameters)..

Ive already stated this is the culmination of all my work this year.. Im not going to kid you, i not only think it will work in mlb but in all 4 major pro-sports.. It involves several things and ive alluded to some of them already but the most important thing is, the strict adherence to money management..

Money management (to me) is simply knowing the amount of your next wager before hand, its all in working with a detailed plan.. Ive stated many times before, that "its not who you bet but how you bet" and now im going to try and prove those words..

SSI, how do you backtrack a system? Is there a trick to doing it or do you just go back and plug and chug all the numbers? Do you have some sort of software that helps you. I have an excel spreadsheet I have been using all year and am wondering if there is a good way to backtrack it if I want to see how it works if I change something. Thanks

You are correct...cut my figures in half....but I have to input data on each team.

SSI, Tough first day. Hope today gets you back in black. That's why you need at least 100 plays to get know if it works! I have a feeling that this system will be a winner for you!
