Besides our families and our jobs , most of us would be lost without sports! I know alot of people, myself included, that would not know what to think or do without the ever changing seasons fading one into the next! I am sure some of our Canadian posters can help us out here, since I am sure many have been floundering this year without hockey. What would you do if there was no organized sports to watch or bet on ?

So true Capt...the changing of seasons and time in general is measured for many of us by the sports calendar...its literally the measure of time for me..its the main reason I have the memory I do, measuring time against what has taken place in sports...

So true!

Well, no NFL would greatly increase my chances of seeing the inside of a church.
Remember watching Aussie Rules Football during the strike in the 80's, twice?:icon_conf Olivia Newton-John singing the anthem during their 'Super Bowl'!

Dick Motta and 'The Fat Lady' singing , bla, bla, bla- it all got sickening but for awhile it was all good! LOL! ( JMAN: Remember 'Bicycle'?) Judge: It would take more than a strike to get you inside a church! LOL! Hell, I believe you would watch fast pitch bocci-ball first!:toast:

Van Halen was back in the 8-Track days? damn time is flying
Their original album came out in 1978 and was their best, to me, by far! Toured with Ted Nugent that year at The Cap Centre and after 5 encores Ted was dazed and confused- couldn't blame him for not wanting to come on stage!:103631605
