His BA is dropping off. Once the injuries start snowballing because of the age and wear and tear, he be another Junior Griffey in the downside of his career. Yes, he can hit the ball out, but he is going to be a .260-.270 hitter for the rest of his career. Not worth it.

Don't forget the sox put Manny on waivers 2 years ago...nobody wanted him..so getting something for him is better than nothing.

I like Manny too,but enough is enough...I've always wanted them to rebuild through the farm system and they are starting to do it.

Late 70's they had Fisk,Lynn Rice Burleson Evans Yaz Scott all were born a bred R/sox...I'm glad they are going back to that.
