Has anyone heard this rumor? This has been swirling around here all day. The word is that the Rangers want Todd Walker included in this trade but the Cubs have declined. The Cubs want Soriano to play left field. Not surprising that the Rangers want Walker since they tried to sign him before the Cubs did. They even offered more money.
The Chicago Tribune is reporting that these talks did indeed take place. It was to be Todd Walker and Corey Patterson for Soriano. The Rangers balked when there was not a starting pitcher involved in the trade. Look for possibly Sergio Mitre and another ranger to be involved in this trade if it happens.
