These games are getting so complex, that you have to dump hoards of time in to master them.

In the new Madden, the reciever wont even attempt to catch the ball unless you can see that he is looking at you and also the QB is only allowed to throw accurately where he is looking so you cant sprint right and throw left on the fly without stopping for a split sec to spot him.

I agree Rob..its just to complicated, and running the ball became much harder last yr...instead of it being an X's vs O's strategy game its become way more 'on field, make te players zig zag and leap around with speed burts and all that BS...it was a much better game when you matched up offense vs defense and didn't have all these ridiculous extras.

My personal opiion is that Nk6 is a big improvement on 2k5 as far as the NCAA franchises go..

That said, the difficulty needs tweaking a bit. Hawaii (me) romped over USC in my season opener on default difficulty. Then my star WR got himself suspended for an academic offence, which wasn't appreciated.

I thought that NCAA 2004 was the best version of the game by far. I was very disappointed in the '05 version. With the matchup stick? Oh yeah and the crowd noise thing that would often work against you on your homefield. Was hoping that they went back to basics. I take it that it's at least worth renting?

p.s. Taking out my favorite play really pissed me off too.

I never had 04, 05 I found unplayable, where as I find myself playing a game or two most evenings on 2k6... take that for what it's worth.

I thought last years college version was so tough to play I hardly played it....

It was impossible to move the ball....I was playing 0-0 games going into the 4th quarters often :)

The best football game EVER is the ESPN 2K5.I have played Madden and NCAA football every year since they started and while they've had some good versions, nothing compares to 2K5! I totally agree with what you guys are saying about too many extras,EA Sports is taking away from whats important(realistic gameplay) by adding whats not important(features nobody cares about)

I really hated to hear that EA bought ALL rights for the football games(and others) which means no ESPN game this year :-( Trust me guys,if you haven't played the 2k5 yet,buy it! Will be very cheap as its a year old and you won't be sorry!

EA also screwed up their NBA Live 2005 this year,it is nowhere even close to NBA 2004.I will never throw out 2004,it is that good!

NBA Live 05 did suck, 04 was amazing, me and my roommate played it every day for hours in college, when 05 came out, we hardly ever played it

I get sad when ppl like when the games are easy as hell. 2004 was a joke to me, you were able to run 1 play the whole game and score 40+ pts doin it all night. Don't c how thats fun when u could score ne time u want. I would win 2004 with army, so it was a joke. To each his own, i guess

If u don't like 2005 then u wouldn't like 2006. 06 is ALOT easier to run, but at the same time it's harder to pass. I get pass interference calls against me alot on D. Last yr i was able to bump the reciever off the ball alot. This yr i get whistled up. I think D, is harder to play this yr, especially stopping the run. If u miss 1 tackle, the guys goes 80 yd td runs on ya. Not like last yr, where the safeties can save ya.

Overall it seems harder to me. But i only play on heisman, so i dunno how the rookie level is for you guys

:)

Cee i totally agree with you. I enjoy losing in sports games, because if you keep on winning the replay value is not there anymore. I'm not going to buy Madden 06 instead i'm going to get the NCAA 2006 just because Madden is trash.

I wish there was a way to download the rosters for XBOx or something, only way I've seen to get them is to buy it from those eBay sellers.

Yeah, madden is terrible to me also. I haven't really played any NFL foots games since ps2/xbox came out b/c i thought they were crap.

Only thing that sucks on NCAA for me is, i like FSU. So when i go only a game or two over .500 i get kicked out after 3 yrs and hafta be a new team LOL. I haven't played ncaa in a week or so, b/c i get heated when i lose ANd then i dont wanna play ne more lol.

How much are they on ebay? I never really knew how to do the rosters thing. Seems like a cool idea. I know when u finish a season, u always have an option to export the new draft class onto your x-box so u can draft the REAL HS classes. I'd guess u'd need to setup a USB cord into your pc/x-box to Download the info?

All sports games need some better artificial intelligence. I agree on the one play thing, until you get to the top level you can find a whole in the opponents defense and exploit it almost every play. I remember on 2K5 playing Tampa's lame offense and scoring 52 on Baltimore. I just ran this trap run every other play and it always went for 15-30 yards. When I tried to pass I got sacked just about every time. If I just ran the ball every play I couldn't be stopped. Silly stuff.

Not to mention when you can take a mediocre team like the Seahawks to a Super Bowl title on the third level just two weeks after you bought the game, something is wrong.
