The Red Sox pass the trade deadline as "Winners" for the sole reason that they DIDN'T trade Ramirez. Would've been the worst move they ever made. I don't care if the guy decides he wants to play catcher tomorrow, you DO NOT take his bat out of the lineup. One of the top 3 hitters in the game, one of the best players in the game the past 10 years, would've been devastating to lose him.
The fact that they were even considering trading him is baffling to me. You put up with the guys antics when he performs the way he is. End of story.

The Boston media has a life of itself, the same fans in the stands are not the same fans that talk over their chowda about how Manny's attitude is poor. Hey, he moght need to be yelled at sometimes, like a distracted kid sometimes, but WE LOVE HIM, and he will stay....He says things sometimes to get attention........All is GOOD!!!!
