I don't know how many of you think like I do in these situations but I wish that I didn't. I loved Milwaukee today but refrained from betting it because I saw the line drop at Pinnacle from -147 to all the way down to -126. Moses Alou was not playing and the line was still going down. Capuno is a real good pitcher and Lowry is not good on the road. Milwaukee is the better team and they are playing at home. I automatically think that something is up(whatever that is..lol) and shy aways when there is such a big movement against me. Does anyone else think this way? I should like it more when this happens but I think something is fishy and stay away!!

Usually those insticts are right in that type of situation. If I see a sudden drop of 20 cents in a line (especially right after a game goes off the board) it's very safe to assume that someone is out of the lineup for the other team.

Now if a line has been gradually dropping, that's a different story. Then it's probably just some initial movement and then many followers.

But if you see a sudden large move against you and lay off, most of the time you'll be glad you did.

In other words...if it's -140, then they take it off the board...2-3 minutes later it's back up at -120.

I'd assume that someone is riding the bench on that team, and check before I made any play.

Like last year for example...if you're looking at a SF Giants line, then they take it OTB, but put it back at a much lower price, I can pretty much "know" without actually knowing that it was just announced that Bonds was taking one of his days off.
