I was reading about the new front page and can't get there from the forums. I would like to check it out, but honestly don't know how to get there. When I click on "home", it just goes the forum home

please enlighten me if i missed and obvious link

otherwise

my comment is that there should be a link to get to this site's home page from the forums

Also, there seems to be a different tone as of late. More censorship - it is if yall are scared for people to know what is going on here or anywhere else. To us 'outsiders' this is frustrating for the 'insiders' to be alluding to people and events during their posts, but won't answer when asked what is going on with this person or that person or this site or that advertiser. Also, why do some non topic subjects stay in the main forum, while others are moved to the rubber room? To me, it is not b/c of content, but who posted it
I like this site, it is my home site, but there are some chickenshit tactics being used and it becomes frustrating AND intimidating to the average poster, like myself.

So what there is another posting forum being opened! If it is competition, then it is a GOOD thing. To me it shows weakness to be afraid of competition. It seems that threads that even mention "shrink" or "general" disappear or go to the rubber room. I mean C'MON! they will always be a big part of this site and where it came from and what it is about, yall shouldn't run from it. I would say that most of your posters are very fond of both of them, including me. I guaratee yall have record number of new posters this season and you will realize that you were scared for no reason. Look, competition may have already helped/forced you to revamp your front page for the better. I can't get to it though.
Hopefully things will change when we all get caught up in football season and trying to making money.
For the record I like the mods and have no problems with any of the posters, I thought wil was the logical choice for head mod.
But, with that being said I have a question, are the gestapo censorship tactics wilheim or the ownership? I think this is a legitemate question and doubt I will get a yes or no answer.

Not going anywhere

Sorry about that Vol. Texh support still ironing the kinks out of the new format.

Here a link you can bookmark for the time being if you like.

As far as Shrink or General threads go - we decided that all their threads will be moved to The Rubber Room so as not to make the entire debate Offshore about them. Personally I wish them well in their new venture but to put it mildly Rx. managment was somewhat shocked at their sudden departure.

Censorship actually is something we are trying to cut back on at the Rx. Moving very off topic threads to the Rubber Room can be subjective at times. I mean one man's off topic is another man's interest. The mods try to be fair on what topics get moved, but natrually posters of moved threads tend to take it personal. Believe me it is not that easy to make some calls. I also have to allow the mods to use their own judgement and cannot be second guessing that judgement when I see a thread moved. There is no quicker way to lose confidence with fellow employees than 2nd guessing.

Some threads get sent to the Rubber Room becasuse they are pormotional in nature but this will cease soon because we are bringing back the Site Promotion forum. Unfortunately it won't be until Tech Support is finished with the new home page.

Finally The Rx. is not afraid of competition from other sites, but we won't be used as a promotional tool by any. That is why we remove links to other forums, non advertiser sportsbook, tout websites etc.

Vol. I never answered because IMO there are no "Gestapo" tactics being used. We have allowed advertiser books to be slammed offshore (never done before), we have allowed several banned, or on post review posters to have full posting rights. The only thing edited out of hand on any forum are Links to other sites, almost all forums do the same. There will always be threads posted offshore that end up in the Rubber Room, not much can be done about that, again I point out that is subjective.

Management has encouraged less censorship from all the moderators. We have not tried to censor anything about our new sponser BOS today. I believe you are percieving censorship that is not there. Sorry if you feel we are wrong about Shrink and General threads, but they will remain in the Rubber Room. There are things about that situation that are best left private.

I have also encouraged the mods to be as liberal as possible when moving threads, and editing posts. Just look at recent threads about MyBookie that were allowed to stand Offshore, this is significent change in Rx. policy.
Anyway I appreciate the feedback, thanks and best of luck, wil.

I didn't mean for you to get your dander up, I just wanted some feedback and you gave it to me and I appreciate that.
You are in the know and may take your knowledge of situations, posters and books for granted when most of us don't know what is going on and don't grasp what may be obvious to you. I have been here for 3 years and read almost everyday and am probably aware of more situations than most and I don't know crap, but there is nothing wrong me asking or giving my opinion, and I should hope you would want someone like me's opinion of this place.

So my knowledge(or lack of) is that of the unimformed everyday poster/lurker and I wanted yall to know somewhat of where we might be coming from in our interpretations of what we read and try to decipher on this forum. Our perceptions could, and probably are, dead wrong a lot of times. But there is noone willing to correct us, so our perception is reality until otherwise pointed out.
so thanks again
