that fucking Basketball game I lost with 28 seconds to go, I could have even hedged at 100/1 and I didnt, nightmare stuff and still suffering. Illini was the only punch-bag, if you dont count the Wife and Kids, so some of the pain has gone with my attack last night, once again Illini, apologies.
On a brighter note, I have been re-assessing my Handicapping on the NFL and I have got an itch that started and will now not go away. The enigma is, how many points do you give the home team. Winbet, I hear you say, you must be losing your marbles, you silly Old Fool, everyone knows its 3 Pts. Yes, 3 points has always been the accepted value and even arguments like playing at home to Detroit, the exceess spread is in the game as opposed to the theoretical home price. Trouble is, last year I found a definate move away from figures that have stayed consistant for 7 years, whether it is parity or a one-off, I dont know.
Tweaking around, I got more to a spread of 1.5 home advantage, anyone get the same feelings or any opinions on what the spread should be, would be appreciated. Once again Illini, Sorry.
