#1.) Pitchers that can't throw strikes. There is nothing worse in my opinion then watching a pitcher walk batter after batter. Ex; Al Leiter walks the bases loaded and then gives up a bases clearing double. MAKE THE BATTER HIT THE BALL!! I would rather him throw a strike right down the damn middle then watch him walk a guy. LET THEM HIT IT. You have 9 defenders, make them work! Chris Carpenter - ALWAYS throws a first pitch strike.

#2) When the pitcher just walked a guy or two and the next batter gets up and swings at the first pitch. It disgusts me to see this.

#3) Can't stand watching Sidney Ponson walk the leadoff man with Vlad G. on deck when he has already hit a bomb off you. What happens. . 2 run homer Vladdy. That just pisses me off!

Anyone have any others?

Adding two more to the list

#4.) Have the under in LAA/BALT game. Ponson has already gave up 2 2-run home runs to Vladdy, but going into the bottom of the 8th I am sitting with a push. An error allows run number 10 to get on base, and then he scores to make it 9-1 Angels and screw my under.

#5.) Got the Giants and they get a runner on third with 1 out and can't get him home. Definently not my night tonight. I think I will go throw up now. :monsters-

6) Bottom of the 9th, bases loaded with one out, winning run at 2nd and a pitcher who can't find the strike zone... but ends up striking the next 2 batters to give the Cubs a win and my 5-team parlay a loss :ohno:

Ichiro

Ichiro refusing to walk and insisting on swinging at pitches not even close to the strike zone. Here's an amazing Ichiro stat....in 436 at-bats he has a mere 11 doubles. He is arguably the fastest player in the league but doubles in just 2.5% of his at-bats.

It also bugs the crap out of me when pitchers take forever between pitches and act like each pitch is the most important one they'll ever throw. Oh for the days of Bob Gibson and those crisp 2-2.5 hour games.

How about those weak bullpens? I don't know how many unders they've cost me! The starters give up 2 or 3 runs combined and the teams bullpens give up 7 in 2 innings! Unbelievable! I think they should go to a 6 man rotation and have the starters finish the game regardless of the pitch count, as long as their pitching decent. I feel better now.

What pisses me off most and makes me shake my head...

When a team has a ONE run lead in the ninth inning...and they walk the lead off man! Worst thing you can possibly do considering the % of times that the runner will come around to score, and you see it time and time again. Mind boggling.

i play unders almost exclusively. to me, there is nothing worse than unearned runs. i would rather the starter give up 4 home runs in the first inning than lose it because of unearned runs. happens way too much for pro ballplayers.

you can cap a poor bullpen, you can cap weather/wind, etc. how can you cap unearned runs?

Watching on TV those stupid people in the background when the camera is on a player when he is batting.

#1 The guy with his stupid cell phone calling his stupid friends.
#2 The fat idiot with no shirt, waving his arm, pouring beer to the next guy as he tries to be on national TV.

When you follow a capper every play for the season , but the 7 days you have missed thru out the season are his best 7 of the season. And the first day back is a loser every time.

The worst is when you have the home team on the run line -1.5 and they take a 2 run lead in the top of the ninth. A lead off single will almost always guarantee a run for the other team because 90% of the time, they'll let that runner go to second without a throw. Home team ends up winning by only 1.

Got to agree with underdog on a closer walking a guy with a two run lead. That is the same result as giving up a homer to that hitter so if you get behind in the count you're better off just to groove on down the middle and at least see if you can get an out from your fielders.

Dan Kolb....ENOUGH SAID!!! :finger:

Hilarious. I was going to say the same thing.

He cost me so much money when he was the closer it's not even funny. Every single game I bet on the Braves, he would kill me. If I bet on the moneyline, he would blow the save and get the loss. If I bet on the run line, he would give up runs and end up winning by one run with the bases loaded or something.

Thanks Bobby Cox for keeping this jackass in the closer spot for so long.

When a sh^itty team like the Pirates get the winning run on 1st and nobody out in the bottom of the 9th and they don't bunt him over. No offense to Jason Bay but nobody on this team is good enough to swing away in this situation. Result:flyout to center and the runner remains at 1st.
