No. About the only thing she cares about is the bank balance. She was skeptical of the whole bet on sports idea at first but after I took her out to Red Lobster a few times instead of Taco Bell, she came around. So now I have a built in excuse to watch football for 25 hours a week :103631605

Very well said, PK Jim. All my wife knows is that (a) I spend a lot of time watching football on weekends and (b) she likes the extra spending ca$h. I have explained point spread, totals, teasers and parlays to her, but I doubt if she remembers any of them.

Yes, she thinks its something our granddaughter should be getting.

She did like the nice ring I got her for our anniversary last month, which lets me get out of the house 2 or 3 times a week to play poker.

She did know what pointspreads were though. She would always come in and sit down on the couch with me while I was watching a game and ask "Who ya got and whats the spread" I used to love hearing her say the word "spread". . :suomi:

Wife understands sides and totals. Beyond that, vig, juice, teasers and parlays might as well be words from a foreign language.

My wife just recently learned what an inning was, and that there are nine of them in a baseball game. She understands point spreads and over/unders in football though. And she has no problem understanding the concept of a payout. The more she feels like she is involved, the more time I am allowed to spend watching sports on TV and in bars, so it's all good.:drink:

Mine better half does not even speak English and she also doesn't know a thing about gambling. But after I paid for our vacation with my gambling money and bought few things she begun to undestand that I REALLY need to spend this time in front of computer when she wants to play some bridge online

Girlfriend understands juice, parlay and reverse. She even ask our daughter what's a good team for "mommy" to buy tonight.

Sorry to interrupt this thread but its been getting to me. Tony, how do u say this word "MAY'N". I've been thinking.. is it like a cool way to type {man}---as is what's up man--- OR is a contraction for {May Not}. Please pardon me if I am not up with the slangs :howdy:

Bring it on Obnoxious Frog.

I notice your spelling is much better now that you run everything through Microsoft Word, altough it does slow your responses down.

I just can't get over how self important and intelligent an ex IBM Typewriter repair man can come off. Even you Pencil Protector Nerds can seemingly appear intelligent and worldly here on Internet Forums.

I encourage you to attend the Bash so we can have have our discussions face to face, it would be a Slime Fest!

Warmest personal regards,

--Jarbo--

P.S. I'll await your Puffer Frog response. I will then giggle and put you on my Ignore list along with Noreaga, Identity and Roxy Dude.
