Unbelievable way for Cubs to lose on dropped 3rd strike with bases loaded.
I'm not sure of the rules but if you know, please advise.

After Barrett got the ball back he ran towards home and Rollins coming off third went back toward the base and Barret made a bad throw back to third allowing Rollins to score. With the bases loaded isn't Rollins forced at home and all Barrett has to do is wait for him or tag the base?

Drop 3rd strike is not in play if 1st base is occupied. Burrell is out the second he missed the pitch.

Thanks. I thought that was the case but forgot that there was only one out when Burrell came to bat so I didn't understand the play. What a way to lose. If you saw the game, the pitch before sure looked like a strike.

Yes it did! But that still doesn't excuse Barrett for that bone-head play.
