$100,000 Hollywood Fantasy Football Challenge

I would like to invite all Rx posters to take a look at our new Hollywood Fantasy Football League site.

Hollywood Sportsbook has teamed with Fantasy Sports leader Real Time Sports to launch the $100,000 Hollywood Fantasy Football Challenge at www.hollywoodffl.com
For the low buy-in of $125, players will have the opportunity to take their team to the Super Bowl and pocket a grand prize of $25,000. Fantasy players that have an exisiting buddy league of people they normally play with can notify us and we will place them within the same conference. Besides the weekly prizes, the winners of each 12-team conference will take home $2,000 in prizes.

it doesnt look that hot to me. if you read the payout chart, it appears only thew top five finishers overall and each conference winner ( $1,000+ $1,000 promo ) win a cash prize. plus, half of all the prize money is "promo", whatever that is the site doesnt seem to say.

so there is no $25,000 prize, its 12,500 and 12,500 in promo cash

If you compare the prizes in Hollywood FFL to others, you will see it is not that bad of deal. Without getting into the overall prizes, here is the info.

12 teams in each conference...12 *125=1500 total entry fees

Conference Winners = $1,000 Cash Prize + $1,000 Promo Prize
Conference Runner-Up = $150 Promo Prize

I imagine this is Bonus Play requiring rollover but I believe this is an overlay situation.

It's going to be a great Fantasy season and contest. Promo prizes are freeplay funds sponsored by Hollywood Sportsbook given away along with the cash prizes from the Hollywood Fantasy Football League. For a relatively small buy-in of $125, you get a lot of mileage and opportunity to win prizes each week and at the end of the season.

I noticed when you register for this it asks you to pay immediately via credit card???

Is that correct and will it work?

I assume this payment transaction is produced through Hollywood's partner in this rather than the book itself..................?

I will double check but I believed RTS (Real Time Sports) was the charge on my credit card.

I am signed up and they have me with a big group waiting to be assigned a conference. It doesnt look like you can set up private leagues (risk of collusion).

Ill check out the website again and see if anything has changed.

Q. What are "Buddy Leagues?"
A. Buddy Leagues are private Conferences set up amongst friends within The HFFL. T o prevent collusion, specific guidelines will be implemented and closely monitored regarding drafting, free agent pick-ups, and the determination of Conference Champions.

Also, am I understanding correctly that EACH 12 MAN CONFERENCE winner receives $1,000 AND $1,000 promo prize, for a total of $2,000?
Not to mention the smaller weekly prizes,of course. It should be well worth the $125......

One thing I am curious about, is if people entering this contest through Hollywood, are tied into RealTime's regular participants' Conferences..........??

The only problem with that is it would obviously reduce our chances of more than one of us winning a conference, and the 2 $1,000 prizes.

Some could double their odds at winning at least $1,000 though...

For example, I could tell you that If I win my conference, I would pass one of the $1,000 prizes onto you, and vice-versa..............
