As you can see by my post total, I generally sit back and take a lot in from this site without posting all too often. In general, I always felt the RX was a huge benefit to gamblers. I fully understand the site is in business to make money. That's the bottom line which each and every one of us posters must fully understand. The No. 1 reason this site exists is for the monetary benefit of the owners. THAT POINT SHOULD NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!

In any event, I have no problem at all with the intent of the site, and with the intent of RX ownership - they are supplying us, the gamblers, a valuable service and they in return make a profit. Sounds as though everyone is a winner.

That being said, I must seriously question the legitimacy of this site from this day forward. The entire BOS situation, and how it has been handled to this point, suggests the RX is simply looking out for itself WITHOUT CONCERN FOR ITS MEMBERS!

For the record, I have been involved with offshore wagering since 1997. Been with many books, and I feel very fortunate to be able to say I've never had payout issues with a single book. The RX advertisers I do business with include Cris, Pinnacle and Hollywood. I know enough to know these books are as solid as any books out there.

Now, imagine a newcomer to this site. He logs on, and immediately begins reading all the BS that has gone on with BOS. Is he simply going to choose another sportsbook from the advertised list? Or is he going to look elsewhere for suggestions? If I was a newbie who didn't know any better, I wouldn't take a chance on Pinnacle or Hollywood or BoDog. Why? BECAUSE THEY ADVERTISE HERE.....and the BOS situation suggests the RX does not concern itself in dealing with reputable books. In other words, if I were the owner of one of the other books listed at the top of this screen, I WOULD BE IRATE THAT I WAS LISTED WITH BOS!!!...

AS THINGS NOW STAND, ALLOWING BOS TO ADVERTISE ON THIS SITE IS ULTIMATELY HURTING EVERY OTHER BOOK WHICH ADVERTISES HERE!!
There have been so many issues with books in the past which ultimately led to scammmers and such. I have always been willing to give the benefit of the doubt to the books - and the majority of the time, the books were eventually justified. However, the BOS situation is an entirely different story. Red flags were raised long before it began advertising here. Those concerns SHOULD HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED BEFORE THEIR BANNER WENT UP!!...AND THE BANNER SHOULD BE TAKEN DOWN UNTIL BOS MANAGEMENT IS WILLING TO ANSWER SOME VERY SIMPLE AND DIRECT QUESTIONS WHICH IT HAS FAILED TO DO SO.

As things now stand, a usually-very reliable site has taken the quick buck, which likely in the long run will prove to be costly. That this was allowed to happen suggests the RX is no longer a truly reliable watchdog source.

(And yes, I will continue logging on / posting. I feel as though I'm knowledgable enough to make correct decisions. However, for those who are new to offshore wagering and looking for reliable advice - I don't believe we can blame them for not currently trusting the advice of RX management.)

Okay, that was more like my $200......Sorry!

The status of BoS on this site is currently under review. There is a rule change request that TheRx has publicly submitted to BoS that has not yet been resolved.

Excellent post Bernie, and John-you never fail to crack me up.

Lets not forget BOS did not have that rule when they robbed the bettor of his half a million dollars. If they get rid of it, so what? This is all lip service. The RX is not even addressing the players that have been robbed. Posters have come forward to say scumbag "G" is still calling the shots. The BOS banner is still up. You guys were quick to delete The RX Sportsbook Grade that accurately described BetOnSports as a "NO PAY OPERATION".

I believe the moderators have said that they are not consulted about potential advertisers (correct me if I'm wrong). Does whoever makes these decisions even keep up with the offshore industry? Or at least consult someone who does? What criteria (besides money) is used to screen a potential advertiser? The moderators are reading these completely one-sided posts on BOS, but is Rx ownership reading any of them?

What about starting similar threads in the offshore talk forum, NFL, College Foots, NBA and college BBAll (all the capping forums) titled " Scam books to avoid" We list the books in question and bump this message ever hour and make sure its the top thread on this forum every day?

this would go a long way in separating the wheat from the chaff on this forum!

I think Bernie should be put on immediate post review. This is a business. The RX is a business. BOS, pays the RX the highest rate available to get that Platinum package. What are they supposed to do, turn down a platinum buyer? It is easy to look from the outside in. We players who despise BOS, call them a shit book or a Bag Of Shit in this case, have no right to criticize this business decision. What are we paying the RX? Not a fucking thing. So they can sellout to whomever they choose. Should they listen to us nonpaying members, who question why they would sellout to a bag of shit book who spit in the face of the offshore betting world and stiffed a player half a mil? Or should they continue to remain consistently profitable, and sellout to the highest bidder? No matter how ugly of a past they have. The owner's not the mods have made their choices. They look the other way, when it comes to no pays. However, they may find members looking the other way for sites to post at. In fact, when you have more than a few posters, asking how could this Bag Of Shit be allowed to advertise here, let alone buy a platinum rating, and try to snow them with an all important rule change, those posters are as good as gone already. Just another case of pissing down our backs and telling us it is raining. In August.

You either listen to your members, or you blow them off and do what you want.

Best Wishes...OF:howdy:

On one hand I want to say that they've probably changed their ways and are safe to bet with. The other part of me says I don't want to put myself in a position to be screwed by a book that has sone so before!

But no matter what management decides to do.....let's face it....you guys aren't going ANYWHERE!

The very nature of the Rx is that it is a FREE forum that anyone can join. I suppose the same attitude crosses over to the advertisers, anyone can advertise here.

If a poster crosses the line of acceptable behaviors repeatedly, s/he is banned from the Rx or banished to the RubberRoom. Maybe we need a RR for advertisers? :lolBIG:

Not a rubber room. But an asterisk. BOS Platinum package advertiser*

*Platinum package does not reflect payment history, nor is it a rating, but something you can buy with previously stolen funds.

At least you know what you are getting into.

The passing of time doesn't change the past, if BOS is allowed to carry on like nothing has happenned the deterrant to stiffing people is lessened.
