Even die-hard right-wingers are ashamed of this President, they are just too ashamed to admit that this guy has no clue , no plan to stop the killing of innocents anywhere, anytime, anyhow! That's right, as Tammy Wynette was proud to sing the new right-wing anthem- "Stand By Your Man!"

This is the kind of senseless shrieking that we heard when Reagan was president. You guys were all wrong then, you're all wrong now. We don't want socialism here, I know that comes as a surprise to you clowns.

Jesus tap dancing Christ...the Left is still hung up on this?

Doc, debate questions are supposed to be fair and unbiased for both candidates. Considering Kerry had never been president before (and thankfully this country wasn't cursed with his presidency subsequent these debates), I'd be awfully interested in hearing your reasoning on why this wasn't a loaded question that could only make one of the candidates look bad...

I'm 38 so I have a recall going back to Carter... maybe Ford.

I don't recall ANY President (while in office) ever admitting mistakes they made.

Not talking about Personal matters either, I'm talking in matters of running the State.

Capn, you have some examples?

Clinton apologized and said he was wrong not to intervene in Rwanda. Said it was a mistake. That's a pretty big one.

Blowjobs aside, Clinton was a pretty candid guy, much more so than Bush.

Has Clinton ever apologized for his failure to launch a air to surface missle into Bin Ladens turban when he had the chance? That would have saved over 3000 US civilians in NY and all of the soldiers that have passed so far in Iraq.

But Billy was a good guy...always concerned about how the US looked in the worlds eyes.Im sure he didnt want to rustle any feathers in the middle east, obviously.

Seems to me, Rep administrations put OBL on the map. But that is history. More concerned what we are doing now to take him off the map.

Hell, Rice had not even heard of Al-Queda when she took office ... this is so funny how the Bushies try and deflect everything over on Clinton

You dont seem to be denying the fact Clinton could have killed the man responsible for 9-11.Thats a fact....good choice Billy. It gets deflected b/c thats where a whole lot of the blame lies.Theres no defending the position.Billy fucked up,period. Now wheres our apology?

Ive yet to say GWB is a great man,a man without faults, or a man who doesnt make mistakes.....but he sure is better than the alternatives, specifically Democratic alternatives. At least he has resolve and the balls to bring it to the filthy people really responsible for the "insurgency".

BTW why didnt Clinton pull the troops out of Saudi Arabia after 92? Wouldnt that also have had a beneficial effect on the terrorists view of the US....that is thier stated purpose for the "jihad".

Clinton deserves blame, thats why he gets it.

hmmm .... a Saint? this is a man that belongs to the same satantic cult that Hilter belonged to ... this is the ONLY President in Office with a criminal record ... this is a Man who made over 800k in Insider Trading as a Board Member @ Harken energy and the investigation was shut down by Bush 41 ... this is a man so high on coke he went AWOL during service to this country ... this is a man who ran against gay marriages and is surrounded by more homosexuals than any President in the history of this country ... this is a man who ran against abortions but his 1st appt in term 2 was a man (Gonzales) who believes in abortions

Bush is a dry drunk who lies about everything and is nothing but a trained monkey for President Dick Cheney

While in office? Seems like he may have said it after the fact in his book, but I don't recall him saying it WHILE he was President.

I'm not being a wise Ass D2, you have a link that has a date of this Clinton Apology while he was in office?

You guys on the right are correct, as usual, you and your President are always perfect! I, on the other hand, am a lowly sinner trying to someday work my way up to Republican status! P.S. Howdy Judge, am a long way from home, missed you and all the other sinners!

Clinton to Rwandans: We reacted too slowly to slaughter

Last modified at 4:05 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 1998

KIGALI, Rwanda (AP) -- Shaken by horror stories from the worst genocide since World War II, President Clinton grimly acknowledged Wednesday that "we did not act quickly enough" to stop the slaughter of up to a million Rwandans four years ago.

One survivor told Clinton he had to hide among thousands of corpses and "swim in their blood to survive." Although his hand was hacked off, Venuste Karasira lived -- one of only 300 survivors out of 5,000 people who sought refuge at a technical school that had been protected by Belgian paratroopers.

When the troops withdrew, Hutus armed with machetes rushed in -- just one murderous episode in a countrywide bloodbath orchestrated by the former Hutu government against minority Tutsis and moderate Hutus who supported efforts to share power.

Clinton said that he and other world leaders -- sitting in faraway offices -- "did not fully appreciate the depth and the speed with which you were being engulfed by this unimaginable terror."

The United States and the rest of the international community periodically condemned the killings but failed to stop the 90-day killing spree that Clinton called "the most intensive slaughter in this blood-filled century we are about to leave."

"Never again must we be shy about the evidence," the president said in his second expression of contrition in two days. On Tuesday, he said the United States was wrong to have engaged in slave buying long ago and was guilty more recently of neglect and ignorance toward Africa.

Wait a minute. Not to nit-pick but is that an apology of a President of something HE did wrong?

"he and other world leaders"

Then an apology on Slave trade 200 years BEFORE he was President.

Hardly the same thing as LISTING 3 things you have done wrong.

Let's all be honest here, Clinton NEVER would have been asked that question by a White House Pres Corps.

Has Bush made Mistakes? Of Course! Should a sitting President list the errors he's made while in offuce? Of Course NOT!

Hey Capn..grow up. I want some Honest debate here, not you being a whining *****.

Tell me what Presidents have admitted wrong doing while in office? Seriously you know your shit, give some solid examples, and lets go at it. You started this thread.

D2 came up with a decent one.
