Chris Childs the bum who didn't know how many seconds were left on the shot clock in game seven against Detroit while he was with Toronto grrr. And sadly the most well known person I played poker with? If anyone ever watched the Super Dave Osborne show (it may just be a Canadian thing) the Japanese guy who was Super Dave's sidekick who kept saying "Suppper you ok?" Well that guy I played poker with

When you say famous person, are we talking non-poker famous?

My answer would be Bill Gates.

DANTE, do you ever start threads anymore that DONT relate to poker? I mean you could post them in the poker forum. I have to give on your ass since people around here do the same shit to me all of the time

Po60, you do have a point. But as soon as the Steelers start playing we'll be hearing about every pulled groin from Dante.

Mills Lane is a terrible loser, played against him years ago in a 3-6 game in Reno and the guy was throwing cards and storming off after getting beat by a guy with a 7-5 I think it was. Most of the celebs I could name are poker celebs. Used to play with Paul Darden a lot few years back at the Mirage, before he moved up to playing in big money games, very solid player. Played with Layne Flack a few times, he used to drop down into the middle limits at the Bellagio if the big game wasn't any good and throw chips around like there was no tomorrow. He would buy in for three racks of 30-60 and the games would be jamming in just two rounds. Guess it doesn't mean much when you are really waiting for the $300-600 HOSE game to get going.

Most "name" poker players aren't half as good as the limit game grinders in my estimation. It is definitely true, to be a great ring game player is far more difficult than being a well-known tournament player. Used to be the ring game guys reportedly made many times as much as the tourney guys, but I suppose that is probably changing now.

I have played in some home games against Deion Sanders.

Sidebar....Played against Celine Dion's husband a few times and let me tell you.....He is about the biggest prick I have ever met in my life!!

Antonio Tarver used to hang out in the Seminole casino in Tampa and play some long sessions and he is another one that is a complete ass!

Those were the days......

B ack in the day, in Vegas, played with Redd Foxx.

In So. Cal., at the Bike with "who loves ya, " Telly Savalas.

Redd couldn't play a lick, Telly held his own.

These days the guy in Wedding Crashers and Mr. and Mrs. Smith (I think his name is Vince Vaughn) can found in the $100 and $200 NL games many nights. OK player, but has a hard time laying his hand down when raised, lol
