For some reason, I can't pull the trigger on the Cubs tonight. I have a feeling they might have given up on the season and the Mets might want this one more. I like the prop bet Derrek Lee -140 vs Cliff Floyd on total bases more than anything.

I have been burned by the cubs so many times this year that I am betting on the mets and will be happy to lose the money if they lose...i think the value is there for the mets

nym - 1.5 +264 for 1 unit
nym +128 for 1 unit

also, i usually like the sunday night unders but with these s--ty bullpens there is no way this game stays under unless the zambrano boys both go the distance...taking

over 8 -105 for 2 units

parlay nym/over 7.5 2 units pays 6 units

like I said if I lose these bets fine...i just don't want to lose anymore $ on the cubs...also choptalk always has problems with the cubs and he is taking them tonight. so i am definitely staying away from them

No shit. Of all teams for me to finish up my parlay with, I went with the cubs.

My only loss today was the Phillies.

This Cubs team is as frustating to watch as any I've seen since th 69 team collapsed. With their failure to score runs lately, why not have Hollandsworth bunt and at least get a run on the board. Instead Baker consistently plays for the big inning that the Cubs never seem to get and Hollandsworth hits into what is an all to frequent double play.
