Back in 1984 the Tigers (eventual WS Champs) started 35-5... Oakland has been blistering the second halves of recent seasons...ironically this is the 3rd time in recent years Oakland has went 37-8 over a 45 game strech! Crazy!

Just amazing what this team has been able to do...all while losing Mulder and Hudson...

I thought they would hang around for the entire year but not like this!!!!!!!! I thought this team would win a bunch of 3-1 4-2 type games. Where did all this offense come from?

BCN is a scum book!!!!!!!! They knew they had been had.

100 to 1. Can I have some of that please?

That 35-5 start by the Tigers was nuts.

If I remember correct, they got swept by seattle after going 35-5, making them 35-8 at that point.

This run by the A's tops that.:monsters-

A's certainly gave it a complete turnaround. Never hurts to play the Royals either.

An incredible run for sure. Keep in mind though this amazing run has only got them back in the race. Can they keep this pace up to win the division? I say no.

Reminds me more of the A's run from 2002 when they won 20 in a row! I hit 13 of the last 20 games in a row with them too, that was one HELL of a run. Just amazing, winning every single game like they did. They lost to the Twins in the playoffs when they stupidly only started Zito one time...

they finished 2002, on a 35-8 streak. (ended season)
they finished 2003 on a 27-10 streak, (before losing final 3 games)

Journey beat me to it, they went 7-1 in the playoffs so 76-54 even after that amazing start.

They went wire to wire, what a year.:drink:

Basically the A's play .750+ ball over a 40-45 game stretch every season...
