Doylesroom .com BB....then I would say Pokerstars this is from my experience playing ...

I play almost everyday at doylesroom.com and simply love it ..I posted earlier there are alot of novice players on the NL tables why do you play Limit where people can suck out on you buy calling you all the way to the river...NL is the only way to play IMO

Dante, thanks, but I mean a "reading" book on online poker:lolBIG:

I like limit, because I am trying to get into the Rake back play. It can be very profitable if you can get the hands in per hour.

I have been trying to get in contact with Matt24, but no such luck.:sad3:

Anyone know how I can contact him?

Thanks,

BB

limit vs. no-limit is a matter of preference and style. when i first started out online i played exclusively limit. did pretty well but then realized that my style of play would probably yield me a larger profit margin playing NL. Now i am exclusively NL and couldnt stomach limit poker.

Plenty of people make a fortune playing limit online.

Even though this isnt technically the topic of the thread, I have to agree 100% with Dante. I played some limit games, and what you said is exactly right. Hell, even my play got worse in limit games cause I was thinking to myself... 'What, I only have to pay $4 to see this guys hand?' and I would go for it with nothing. Obviously they do it too, and if you hand wasnt as strong as it should have been, there goes your money. With NL I am a little more conservative, but I can win that HUGE pot when I do have the hand that I need. I agree, only way to play.

I am primarily a sit and go player, although I play a little of everything from time to time. I get rakeback on my SNG play as well, through Empire. I haven't been playing a ton, but averaging about 350-400 a month in rakeback.

People like you, which is most people, is why I play limit. Basically anyone who bitches about getting sucked out on, doesnt understand poker. But, thats another subject.

Books to read (in this order)

Theory of Poker- Sklansky
Hold em poker for advanced players- sklansky/malmuth
winning low limit hold em- miller

Read those books, remember how tight hold em for ap players suggest to play. Keep in mind what the first two books say, then read winning low limit holdem, and figure on a style somewhere in between the first two, and the last book.

But on the other side of the coin, its very hard for me to make money in limit. For the same reasons. I play sloppy cause its too damn cheap and boring for me to focus. And when I actually do get a good hand, the pot works itself to next-to-nothing. More power to the guys that have the focus and discipline to play the limit tables, its just not for me.

Exactly, which is why limit is mostly more profitable than nl. There is no reason anyone can give for not winning at limit, other than being one of three things, lazy, stupid, or undisciplined.

Hopefully I only fall under the last category...
