Here is the story:

I have an account with MVPsportsbook.com (sister to V-wager). They send me an email today offering me a 100% bonus if I deposit $200.

So I send $200, and call and ask for the bonus and the guy there tells me they won't give to me. I ask why and he says "There are restrictions on bonuses. You need to read the restrictions". He goes on to tell me that they ask all customers to call in and confirm if they are entitled to the bonus...something that is not written in their restrictions contained in the email.

Then I ask for them to refund my money to Neteller and they say they will send me only $192. I don't think I should pay the fees to have my money sent back to me when they are the ones who sent out false offers.

What do you make of this situation? Is it my fault I deposited $200 without calling first? Or should they honor their email?

These are the restrictions:

* Restrictions Apply. Participants will NOT be able to combine this offer with any others. Participants may only have ONE ACCOUNT. Participants only qualify for the Pre-Season 100% Bonus ONCE PER HOUSEHOLD, this is a one-time offer. Any deposit over $200 will get 10% on the additional funds, up to $3000. For instance, if you deposit $300 you would get $200 on the first $200 deposited and $10 on the additional $100 deposited for a total bonus of $210. All normal bonus policies and procedures will apply, however you will have to roll your deposit amount, bonus amount, and fee amount over six-times in the sportsbook, racebook, casino and poker room, AND actively play for 60-days prior to any withdrawal. If you withdraw any amount at all prior to meeting BOTH requirements, you will lose your bonuses, your fees, and all winnings before any payout is processed AND you will pay all transfer costs involved with your payout. No other deposit method, except the ones detailed above, will be accepted for this promotion.

Consider it a cheap lesson, always, always, always call to verify before sending money. Especially when its a book you've already played with, most won't give you a bonus if you're not a NEW player. I got stung by VIP once because I had been at one of their family of books and they denied me a bonus. I asked how the heck I was supposed to know all their affiliates. They were willing to give me my money less fees but no bonus. I played 1 time roll, beat them but good, cashed out with 0 problems and considered it another lesson learned.

The email they sent said "This promo is for new and existing customers".

Why send me the email if they won't honor it?

The reason they gave me was that my last transaction was a withdrawal, so I can't get any bonuses. That withdrawal was probably 7-10 months ago. But nowhere did it state that in the email.

actively play for 60 days is vague also, should just have to meet roll and wait 60 days !

SHIT book !, as Chuck would say

It's like they want you to take a shot there and lose the $200 in a scalp attempt, but hard to collect if you win.

I just reupped with Vwager today and they gave me the $200 cash bonus. Does this mean I would not be eligible for the $200 bonus at MVP?

Nick, I understand your frustration, many books have the same policy, no bonuses if last transaction was a withdraw or if you cashed out with more than you deposited. With any book that offers a bonus, its always advisable to get someone on the line and make sure its what you think it is before giving your cash. In some cases you may even get a better deal as an enticement to send money. Or you may decide you don't want any part of the operation, I remember calling Mybookie and talking to them and thinking, thank goodness I phoned 1st because after talking to them, I did not want any part of that book.

I got it and emailed them, they said I was eligible. Actually I didn;'t even get the email myself, someone told me about it.

My last transaction was a withdrawal. You wouldn't by chance be having problems with this rule, would you?

No, drunkguy, that's not the problem. The guy just repeated over and over "We ask our customers to call us before to make sure they are eligible".

I just think that by inviting a player by email to take part in a promotional offer, the book is declaring the player to be 100% eligible.

Just a waste of time dealing with this book.

They cut me off from this bonus 2 years ago because i was up on em....hell they all do that. they have increased the restrictions and lowered the total though.. used to be 500 for 30 days 3x rollover........you did blow it however when you sent it first and called later.....they are a bunch of a-holes too so i dont doubt they wont send it back. F'm ..ill give you a tip they dont keep up very well with the line movements early on saturday mornings...beat their ass to the punch and withdraw about 3 grand on em off that 2 hundred....then tell em heres YOUR bonus.

as for as cheating marketing they benn the best at it for years...they advertise a 40% bonus year round....but heres how it goes..20% new sign up bonus a 10% referral bonus and a 10% reload bonus....now how the frick you gonna get a signup a referral and a reload at the same time????blatant bullshit is what it is...hell send a referral the same day you sign up and they'll be booting your ass for multiple accounts!!!!! and some drunk will be on the forums saying its your fault.....screw em....at the pay window!!

I think that is what it is PPP. I'm up a few dimes on them. Yeah, Drunkguy seems to think I'm at fault here. Whatever.

If they would let me bet overnight MLB I would make some bets there, but I'm barred from that too...ugh, Chuck is right...what a shit book.

I realize the bonus is tempting, but is it worth the BS? With so many reliable books out there, why do you guys continuously screw around with these idiots!

nick81 sees the light. Stay away from the phony books that offer ridiculous bonusues to get your money. Once they have it, you'll have to jump through 10 different hoops to get it back. And if you catch fire and win a good amount of money, they steal back the bonus. Stick with the top shelf books.
