Online games are more forgiving to both bad and marginal players due to lower rake. The average online player tends to be more talented than a comparable live game player at the same limits. However, lower rakes allow online games to continue to grow in numbers. The worst players don't get busted as fast on a hand-per-hand basis and therefore keep the action going and the “dead” money flowing.
