Pinny has Cards at -135 for Thursday with Mulder vs Maddux. The way these two teams are playing it would seem like the Cards would have good value in any game this series where they are -150 or less and also on the run line as I'd be very suprised if they don't win at least 2 of the 4 games by at least 2 runs.

I know the Cubs have to win sometime but this series looks like a mismatch.

I was hoping St. Louis would be over priced in this matchup and I was going to take some shots on the Cubs since I have made a small fortune fading them for over a month. But this price is not high enough for me to venture to the darkside and put my money on the Cubs. I'll lay off this one.

Congratulations.

You're one of the few around here it seems who has faded them. That's been the best bet in baseball the past month. I've been disappointed by this team too many times to count and still find it hard to bet against them. Hope for your sake you had some alt runlines against them also as none of their recent losses has been close.

Sure Guy - Convince me on why I should take the Cubs, besides the fact that everyone is taking St Louis? Not much value in a team who has quit.

All the Cubs have to do now is roll over! They've been playing dead for quite a while now! Just a warning to everyone out there, in the extreme case that we somehow win this series, do NOT expect them to continue to do so! They will only pull you along further and leave you hangin! That is from a lifelong Cubfan WITHOUT blinders on!

I wouldn't bet the Cubs right now for anything. Cards HAVE been starting some make-shift lineups of late, so they have been having to manufacture runs more than usual. That under 9 1/2 may be worth a look.

always an interesting series. Cubs have quit but I could see them playing the Cards tuff in this series.

With that said I'm a spectator from a gambling perspective.

I'm with you Kapper. Leave my $ for football, not to sink it into my Cubs!

Yeah, Kapper may be best to watch this one. Even if the Cubs have, quit they'll still play STL hard, esp. at home :103631605
