For Winning the innaugural RX King of the Hill MLB Handicapping title.....

We started with 100 posters vying for the coveted title, with money donated from RX Management........We started with 2000.00 in CASH prizes, and started narrowing the field.....

We first narrowed it to the top 30, then everyone started over...We then took the Top 15, and everyone started over even again....Then we took the Top 5, and everyone started even again, and we started to whittle it down week by week.....

Jack of Hearts finished 5th, and picked up 200.00

Booze finished 4th, and picked up 300.00

C-LO finished 3rd, and picked up 500.00

Bucsfan67 finished 2nd, and picked up 750.00

And after all was said and done, CUBSMAC perservered and became the champion, and picked up a cool 1250.00...........

Prizes were increased due to the generosity of poster DARRYL PARSONS, who was accidentally paid twice for a bet at one of his books, and they told him to keep it, and rather than do that, he donated 1000.00 of it to the prize fund, which was a very cool gesture.......

Also, i need to once again thank Jack of Hearts for his dedication in helping to grade this contest, always on time, and very accurate, which made the contest run all the smoother.....and once again thank WAGERWEB for stepping up and offering some compensation to Jack of Hearts for his work.....I asked Dave@wagerweb once, and he immediately offered to help, which is great.....:103631605

Prizes will be handed out at the bash, but from what i understand a couple of the winners will not be there, so your prizes will be taken care of once we get back....for the winners who will be there, we will present your prizes at the bash....

And for the rest of you, please note, we will be doing the same type of contest for football, the contest forum is already set up....and we will crown our RX NFL King of the Hill, at the end of the season....Details will be posted about the contest upon return from the bash.....

Want to also thank RX Management for their generosity in giving away CASH in these contests......there is no rollover, or accounts, just pure, cold green, for the posters, and it is much appreciated......

You know Kermit, thats been a few months back, and i can't swear to it, but i think it was Wsex..........

When i get a free minute here, i will do a search and try to find out for sure, or maybe Darryl will let us know......I think it was, but cant be sure....

Whichever book it was, it was a Class Move, on both partie's account

Congrats Cubsmac and also to Bucsfan and the other runner ups. Great job.

Thanks go out also to Darryl Parsons, Rx. management, and again to Buscfan for their contributions to the contest.

fwiw - I may even venture into the football version. (not that I have any time to handicap).

Thanks fellas. No idea how I managed to win this thing, as I am nowhere near the baseball capper as many that entered the contest. Just a long lucky run and I got the right breaks at the right times.

I want to give out thanks to the RX and Darryl Parsons for generously donating their money to this contest, to JOH for flawlessly grading this contest daily, and to Bucs for not only doing a great job running the contest on a daily basis, but being a great competitor all the way to the finish.

Congrats guys on some amazing capping. It's nice to see the tireless twosome of Bucs and JofH make the money as a well-deserved bonus for all the efforts.

I remember very well how I got knocked out of this one. It was the last day of the second round and my only hope was to fade Cubsmac. I needed him to lose because he was sitting in the 30th spot, so rather than try to win twice I just faded him. Needless to say his team won by a handsome margin, 7-1 if I remember correctly and that was that.

You guys are in big trouble in the NFL contest, though. I've got my secret weapon -- a super duper stats worksheet which I've been using to get my ass wiped in the last 5 years...but this time I'm gonna fade it!

To answer kermit's question it was WSEX. I had bet 770 to win 700 and they paid both the original stake plus the winnings twice by accident giving me an extra 1470. I had been so impressed by WSEX's professionalism in the past, plus there were some running threads about them that I decided to post the error. Then they surprised me by letting me keep it so I decided to keep 470 and donate the other 1000 to the contest.

I don't think I would have done the same with any other book. WSEX may not be the biggest or have the best juice or perks, but in terms of class and professionalism they are easily number 1 in my book. Your chances of getting overpaid are better than your chances of getting shortchanged or stiffed. How many books can you say that about?
