It depends. If you enjoyed doing the "work" that earned the money, then that might be better. But if you were just working for the money, then winning is better.

And nimue is right to an extent too, a lot of money "won" is also earned.

I get more of a thrill saving $1 on a large full sized sub at Quizonos

and Im more pissed about gas prices up $0.20 a gallon than losing a $100 bet.

somehow knowing gambling is a long grind the amounts and values won/lost almost seem like play money emotionally to me at times.

As it pertainins to sports betting....

Money won when it just falls out of the sky (tailing someones picks) for some reason IS better than....

Money earned through hard capping and research. It feels like work, so you SHOULD get paid for your efforts.

I would think that serious handicappers (not me) would have to treat betting like a job in order to become any good at it. When you work really hard at it, the money is no longer won, it is earned imo.
