The Shit is 2.75 here in Champaign today, paid 2.56 yesterday...this is HORSESHIT, prices moving on nothing but air...there is no lack of supply and no more demand than usual.

Prices are SUPPOSED to move on supply and demand, but the Futures markets are moving this on SPECULATION, and i swear they are getting massivly rich off it, those who are holding unleaded gas futures are going to be retiring real soon.

Money to be made on gas props. Have done very well in the two weeks they've been offered. It's only going higher for the next few weeks.

In Hungary the average person makes 50% of what the average American does yet gas costs roughly double. So that makes it a 4x greater hit on the average person's pocketbook. Budapest is still a constant gridlock of western gas-guzzling cars so it looks like there's still a lot of upward room for you guys before you're forced into major lifestyle changes.

It will definitely drop after Labor Day-and don't be surprised if the US taps into the reserves a bit to curb the bleeding.

Brock that isn't true. Adjusted for inflation it must pass 3.00 a gallon to get back to 1980 inflation adjustment. Read as much....We will get there though.

Maybe we will tap reserves, TT, but maybe not. Administration generally opposed (although both Bush and Clinton have done withdrawls disguised as "swaps") Have to withdraw a lot from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to even make a dent in the supply situation, and then, where are you gonna refine it? Refineries are running flat out now, and that's causing breakdowns--and causing us to import not just raw product but gasoline as well. Plus, even if people stop driving as much after Labor Day, refineries still have to meet heating oil demand.

At some point demand needs to slacken and production needs to increase...and both need to happen worldwide. Chinese demand is not growing as fast as last year, but still up about 8%.
