One players was in the last year of his career , one player was in his first year when these two played on the same team...

These two unlikely teammates both ended up with legendary HOF careers!

Who are they?

Ok, that is also correct:103631605

I was looking for another pair....lol, you would think Brooks/Eddie would have occured to me first.

Fish- it can't be that many...for one they must be teammates, and in the last and first years respectively.

There is another pair, these two are less remembered for playing together, because their careers are not generally related to this team.

Well my first thought was Mantle and DiMaggio, but that can't be right if the two players' careers aren't generally related to the same team....

I thought Mantle/DiMaggio too, but I will throw out Aaron/Yount

I was going to guess that Robinson's last year was '76 though. Someday Niekro and Glavine may be a possibility on the '87 Braves.

Wow, good answer. And good question by Journeyman. This thread has been bugging me off and on since yesterday, and I'm glad someone finally eased my troubled mind.

... but that's assuming that there's no other HOF's who qualify for this question. Is there still another answer, J-man?
