Part of being considered the worst at this, you probably had to have an established career so its somewhat contradictive.... case in point, someone like Dusty Baker (who takes as much heat as any coach on this forum) if he wasn't winning at some point he wouldn't have ever been noticed....

Who are some of the worst you have seen?

Glen Sather by far. SOOOOOOOOOOO overrated!! Hasn't had a winning season in over ten years!!!! Complained about money, still hasn't won in NY, while the Oilers started winning right after he left!!

Bill Cowher.

Seriously I have to wonder sometimes what Martz and Tice are thinking though. It's coaches like them that make our path to the Super Bowl that much easier.

Wayne Mor(on)gan @ Iowa State Hoops

I know I will catch a ton of hell for this one, but:

Bobby Cox - sorry - but with as much talent as he has had over the years to only have ONE WS title is pathetic - and the only one he won was when he was matched up against an even bigger idiot then he is, Mike Hargrove. We saw what happened when Cox was up against a better manager - he lost just about every single time. Give him credit for all of those Division winners - but SCOREBOARD is how we judge things and since 1991 he has one LESS WS title then the Florida Marlins and no one talks about the Marlins in the same breath as the Braves. To me, Bobby Cox and Marty "Shitttenheimer" are the same guys - solid seasons but lousy post-seasons

I would have to say Sherman too....in the NFL it doesn't get any more obvious....

Mike Martz, if he had to build a team he would have no chance...never met a timeout he wanted to save!

Mike Sherman

Your kidding right?

Look at his record, how many better are there? He's won or tied for Division Title every year- Post Season is not good obviously.

Mike Tice takes the title in the NFL.

In total agreement. All that retard had to do was sign, or trade for a closer, or put Smoltz in the pen during the nineties, and the Braves win world series after world series!

Wayne Morgan is a very good call but wiped out with the insane opinion of Bobby Cox. He makes great decisions all the time. One of the best ever.

Bobby Clarke in Philly. Unlimited budget yet every year yet has spent his years blaming others. The guy actually called in reporters and had a mini ceremony when he ripped the "C" off of Lindros' jersey. No disagreement on removing the C - but a grown man holding a little ceremony and engaging in that petty war?

Then he blames goalies...then he blames refs...then he blames the league...then he blames injuries. Blah blah blah

Hey he did rope in Peter F for us this year...and I'm happy with getting Derian Hatcher, Mike Rathje and Therien on the blue line (Big Chris T fan here).

Clarke's problem is his ego...it's bigger than the entire Comcast corporation.

Worst NFL Coach

BRUCE COSLET
With a record like this, how did he ever get the chance to coach 100+ games?

1990 New York Jets 6-10
1991 New York Jets 8-8
1992 New York Jets 4-12
1993 New York Jets 8-8
1996 Cincinnati Bengals 7-2
1997 Cincinnati Bengals 7-9
1998 Cincinnati Bengals 3-13
1999 Cincinnati Bengals 4-12
2000 Cincinnati Bengals 0-3 (resigned)

TOTAL: 47-77

Bobby Cox?

C'mon, Cox is one of the very best.

ONE WS title

Sorry - but he should have had a few more and his bonehead decisions in KEY Playoff/WS games is the reason they don't

take away the HR by the former Mr. Halle Berry and the Braves might not have any WS titles and might make the Bills look successful in comparison
