Can some experienced cappers and bettors give me the run-down on buying points... I know what it is, but just more the times to do it and the thoughts that go into it. My main area is going to be college football with a little in nfl.

For example, I have a game I really like on the opening weekend. It started at
-7, but has moved to -7.5 at some places...Should I consider going ahead and getting on it at the place that has it at -7, and buying it down to -6.5?

Thanks for any info and help in this area...

Your best bet is having alot of outs. You could usually get that half point for free!

Yeah...I was mostly concerned with buying down both 7 and 3. so, if the books you are with are all at 7, you should buy it down to 6.5 in most cases?...

Actually, you should be buying +6.5 up to +7 for 10 cents if there are no 7's out there.

I would never buy -7 down to -6.5, because I never lay over -3 in the NFL........ever!.......(unless I am looking at a middle or hedge of some kind).

What else does he would he line it at, sans teasers/buying points?

Do most locals charge -120 on totals? They do around here.

I meant how a lot of '3' lines are -105/-115, -120/+100, etc.

I buy points all the time when the prices are too bad. -7 to -6.5 is huge to me. I feel alot safer with -2.5 over -3 also. I would always buy on them lines. And +7 to +7.5, etc. That's just me tho.
