Are they afraid you will not fly to the game out on the west coast to rally behind your team?

It's the home teams local cable TV rights.

Thats some bullshit

If I live in Florida, and I want to watch the Marlins....If they are playing in San Diego, thats some real bullshit.....

I feel bad for people who live in Vegas....

What else sucks is when I live in the same state as the team, but their stadium is 6+ hours away
When the games are still blacked out thats bullshit too

Each MLB team controls a market area made up of the region surrounding their home location.

This allows the team to restrict out-of-market broadcasts of their games into their area.
