I could see the A's losing since they can't score runs lately, except they put up 16 runs last time Lima started. Royals have put some runs up & had a couple victories in sight against injuns & A's before bullpen & defense sank the game. The bad luck can't continue forever, Lima has the occasional great game when nobody expects it, & there might just be enough losers betting on the A's to make the game a true voodoo-like letdown for the favorite.
I like it!
Here is a quote from Eric Chavez after the A's were swept by Baltimore:
``We're in a funk. We're going to try to lick our wounds and take a day of rest, then play a tough Kansas City team,'' Chavez said sarcastically about the Royals, who lost their club-record 18th straight game Wednesday.
Part of me as a long-time Royals fan hopes they win soon, the other part of me that knows that they have an idiot owner in Glass and a buffoon in Baird hopes they lose.
The price though is insane on an Oakland team that can't score right now either.
