Pinny didn't place my bet on the Marlins yesterday. It was a winner too. When I wrote them to ask why the bet wasn't placed, this was their reponse:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Pinnacle Sports Client,

When a client places an Order, it is a request and not a wager.

During the time frame of your Pending Order, Pinnacle Sports may or may not fill your order. In addition, we may fill only a part or all of your order. If we complete any part of your Order, the funds are then removed from the account and a Pending Wager is created. Information regarding partially completed Orders is displayed on the Pending Order Form for the client's review.

When the timeframe entered by the client expires, we do not make further attempts to complete the Order. Orders should then be removed from the pending Order List.

Regards,

Customer Service Department
Pinnacle Sports

This ever happen to anyone else? I'm not sure if I'm going to keep using them, since I won't know if my bets are ever going to be placed... this seems kinda shady...

They held both my baseball bets as pending orders yesterday for atleast a half hour :sad3:

did you bet right off thier lines or did you put a limit order in? This reads like a limit order , if so it went unfilled because price never went through the order you placed? Maybe I am wrong here, not sure what you did?

Pinny did nothing wrong here. You need to read up on how the order system works. If you want to be sure they take your bet then just bet into their regular lines. With orders you can get better prices but you also risk not having any action at all.

I believe I bet off their lines. I didn't even know they had limit orders. I think they just decided not to fill it... weird right?

So your saying I placed a limit order? But I didn't enter a "price" of where my bet should be placed... I think I would need to do that for a limit order, no?

It is possible that the line changed between the time you brought up the order form and hit submit.

For example, if the price was +145 when you opened the order form, but changed to +143 by the time you hit submit, you could have still put it in for +145 and it wouldn't have filled right away, possibly not at all.

A bad beat in any case but not Pinnacle's fault. Best way to avoid it is not to use the order form.

Just so you know they take my orders about 50% of the time.I usually list them to be taken down 1/2 hour before game time.

So you must keep on checking to see if you have action.
