Just wanted to let everybody know that 5 dimes bonus requires a 3x rollover of your deposit before GETTING the bonus. To me this wasnt clear on their site as I clicked the initial 20% bonus banner and it makes NO mention of this. I beleive this is some trickery as most companies dont give bonuses this way even though thats what they told me when I asked for mine after making my deposit.

Just read the fine print, many books do have somewhat different requirements for bonuses.

5Dimes is a great book with maximum bet options but I wouldn't touch their bonuses. First they have the rollover requirement. Then the bonus is single play money. Then they have a thirty day active betting requirement. Stay away from their bonuses.

Great book otherwise.

Best play on their bonuses is to take big dogs. Last year I had about 100 in bonus and I bet on CBB conference tourneys. Took a few plus money and was able to hedge and come out with about 250 bucks.

It looks like they require a 5x rollover and not the 3x you mention Mendez. I don't believe it's false advertising as all the rules are posted in their Bonus Qualification link on their site. They run their bonuses a little different from most, but 5 Dimes is still and excellent book to have.

Green Doberman, definitely right about using your bonus on high odd dogs, smart way to do it.

I just reviewed the rules and I agree it's not clear. They do say you need to meet the rollover "in order to earn the bonus", but that isn't really clear. That could easily be misunderstood to mean that after the rollover you can withdraw. I don't see why they can't explicitly say that you must rollover your despoit 3 times before the bonus will be credited to your account and be able to be wagered. How hard would it be to say that.

I don't think it's false advertising, but it is misleading and sloppy, especially given that no other book (that I know of) handles their bonuses this way. I am sure they must get calls about it all the time. One would think they would try to make it clearer.

D2 - I do agree with you. I actually did tell them that they should clarify and there resposnse was - "sir, it is clear as the rules are listed on our website". I wasnt going to beat a dead horse, rather - move on!

I think 5 Dimes is being deceitful by doing what they're doing. I complained about this before.

Reason why I feel this way is that when I called to ask for my bonus and the customer service rep explained their policy, the girl stated: "Everybody complains about this policy. I agree it's kind of deceiving."

They get hit with this complaint over and over and do nothing to clarify it which shows you what the point of doing it is.

While we're on the subject of bonuses: Does anyone play at Carib? I believe they let you only wager your bonus, it's never actually yours to withdraw. I guess you could hopefully scalp out of there, but I would have to say that might be the worst bonus rules I've seen.

From Carib's site(gotta love the Carib holds refusal rights fine print):

Claim your Sign-up Bonus
Get a 50%Sign-up Bonus on your Initial Deposit

  1. <LI value=1>MUST be a NEW Carib Customer
    <LI value=2>Max bonus of $200
  2. Bonus expires upon cashout
Carib holds refusal rights

The web page clearly states the stipulations, I knew them before I deposited there.

Using Match-Play Bonus Money
Match-play bonus money is like a coupon you can use to place a wager. Use your match-play bonus to play your favorite Java Casino game, wager on horseracing, play Keno/Lotto, or bet in the sportsbook. Earning your match-play bonus is easy, the moment your wagering requirements have been met, you will be automatically notified. The match-play bonus is added to your separate bonus account. You can then use the match-play bonus to WAGER ONLY. Any money you win by wagering your match-play bonus is instantly added to your account as real money!
Remember: All bonuses for existing players must be requested and approved before any play will count towards earning a bonus.

I guess it would be a good idea to put this on the same page as where it tells about the bonuses. But I found it because I never do a bonus without first knowing the exact rules.
