I've been in the Hilton Contest the last three years, but thinking of switching to the Stations $1,000 contest. Do they allow proxies also?

Anybody familiar with rules regarding Stations

contest?

A buddy of mine who is a successful Las Vegas-based handicapper indicated he thought (but was not positive) the list of games only included approximately five college contests (sides and totals) per week.

If so, the contest would obviously be tilted towards those specializing in the NFL and be of more interest to some handicappers than others.

If anybody has any knowledge or experience on this aspect of the Stations contest, I would appreciate the feedback.

Thanks,
Paul

stuckinvegas...yes, proxies allowed at Stations...both people just have to sign up in person and fill out authorization form at Palace Station.

Badwater...I posted this reply at fezziksplace:

Badwater...last year, the Stations generally included two college games (and, frankly, they were usually the highest-profile games with the tightest lines) and just the totals from Sunday and Monday night. There was no stipulation that any number of picks were required...most participants went with 5 NFL plays each week, while some clearly went 2 college/3 NFL, but there's nothing in the rules that requires any specific mix. Back to the first part...this year's rules don't specify exactly how many college or totals they'll use, but I think they just leave that off so they're not tied to anything (plus there's no college in the final weeks of the contest).

Blutarski...no one at Stations told me an estimate...however, they drew 121 last year and the fact they're guaranteeing a $80,000 first-place prize tells me they're counting on 160 since the winner receives 50 percent and that would mean they wouldn't have to kick any extra dough (basically what I'm saying is that if they only though they would get 140, then they probably would have guaranteed $70,000 just so they wouldn't be left holding the bag).
