This team is the most predictable team in baseball...

6 straight yrs now we have seen Oakland go on a crazy 2nd half tear that usually lats 40 games, after that they turn into a pumpkin and wait til next yr....

Everyone be ready for it nexy yr!

Somebody help me here. Blanton goes 7 scoreless. K'ing the side in order (with 12 pitches) in the 7th and they yank him. Heaven forbid that he was actually on that magic 100 pitch marker to the dot.

Somebody forgot to send McKeon the Oakland memo on how to LOSE.

So, up 3-0, Witasik gets in a jam and with a VERY SOLID pen to pick from they go with ....

Joe Kennedy??? and his 7 ERA???

I will never understand this philosophy in managing, too many 'automatic' decisions now days...

Wilbur Wood was right (Wood started 97 games in two seasons) when he said "there will never be another pitcher like me"...the philosophy in baseball will never allow for it!

Joe Torre had a similar situation with Chacon yesterday and he went batter-to-batter with him. Chacon knew that he would pitch until someone got on base - AND NOBODY DID!!!!!!!!!

I think that sort of thinking must be illegal in Oakland.
