MLB Hot Lines: Monday`s best bets

Philadelphia Phillies at San Francisco Giants - Phillies –105
This is fantastic value for the wild card-leading Phillies on the road versus bottom-dwelling San Francisco.
Philadelphia has owned the season series, sweeping the Giants 3-0 in early June. Despite a losing mark of 27-30, the Phillies compiled an 8-2 record in their last 10 road games.
Jon Leiber has been solid lately, winning his last three starts, never letting up more than two runs. The Giants starter, Noah Lowry, has been even more impressive in his last three, winning them all and allowing only two earned runs. However, Lowry may not be at 100 percent for the contest after leaving Wednesday’s game against Cincinnati with a blister on this throwing finger.
"It`s nothing serious," Lowry told the Bay Insider, "It`ll just take a couple of days to heal, and I`ll be ready in five days."

Cleveland Indians at Tampa Bay Devils Rays - Indians -150
This matchup has been a series of sweeps so far this year. The Indians swept the first series; Tampa Bay swept the last two. The red-hot Devils Rays are also 8-1 in their last nine games.
The Indians come in riding a few impressive streaks of their own. Starter Kevin Millwood is much better than his 6-10 record indicates this year, and it`s beginning to show. The Indians starter is 3-1 in his last five games and has not allowed more than three runs in any of his last seven outings.
Cleveland is riding a 7-0 mark in road games, where Millwood has excelled this season going 4-3 with a 2.93 earned run average.

Toronto Blue Jays at New York Yankees- over 9 1/2
Although Jays left-hander Scott Downs has pitched well lately - the under is 4-1 in his last five starts - he has to be a little worried about facing the Yankees. New York chased him off the mound in the third inning Aug. 8 after he coughed up four earned, three walks, and eight hits.
The inexperienced Downs now travels into Yankee Stadium to face a club that has won seven of its last 10 games, and its last four at home.
The Yankees send Jared Wright to the hill. The big righty carries an 11.05 earned run average at home and the over is 3-0 in his Bronx starts.

New York Mets at Arizona Diamondbacks - over eight runs
Arizona’s Bank One Ballpark is among the many stadiums that have been overlooked this year when setting the lines. Batters have compiled an impressive .292 batting average at the stadium this year including 2.83 home runs per game.
Brandon Webb starts for the D-backs, a friend to over bettors who carries a 14-11 over/under record. The over is 5-2 in Webb`s last seven outings and both under performances came on the road.
The Mets counter with Tom Glavine. Despite a 9-10 record and a 4.26 ERA, Glavine still gets the respect of the books with the total averaging around eight in his last eight starts that weren`t at hitter-friendly Coors Field. Even with a 1-4 under run in his last five games the Mets lefty still holds a 5-5 record in his last 10 and a 13-11 over/under mark this season.
