4-4: +3.47 Units.

These are some leans for tommorow.
California Vs Florida
Cal is fresh, and may throw their stud. I am going to have to look at this a little closer. If Pimmentel throws, the odds will be astronomical. Honestly, it would be EXTREMELY ballsy not to throw Pimmentel (the 18K kid). The loser of this game goes home, even though Cal has not lost yet. Florida will throw Bichette, their ace. They cannot afford to gamble (IMO, neither can Cal, but Cal may be trying to slip past Florida in a slugfest and save their ace for Hawaii). I think the oddsmakers will inflate Cal too much in this one. We will see.

Japan Vs Canada
Japan is the better team. Japan will throw Sakamoto, I am sure of it. The other 2 guys do not have enough rest. Canda will go with Chris Fischer. Japan has the clear advantage here. I will lay the runline, possibly even a -6.

Lines should be out overnight. If someone could post the opens here, that would be great. I'll be on around 3, or whenever Katie leaves, whichever is sooner. It's open season on freshmen here.

Japan vs British Columbia

Japan -6 (-152) for 5 Units.

They will crush British Columbia, I don't see this game going 5 innings even.

California Vs Florida

In the nightcap, I have figured out some important things.

First, I doubt we will see Pimmentel throw 4 or more innings today. If he does, he is done for the Hawaii Game. I think California realizes that Hawaii is the only other team on their level. They can Throw Lewis today and Pimmentel for no more than 3. If he throws more than 3, he is done for Hawaii. He can throw no more than 6 IP combined in this game and the Hawaii game. I think they want him for 6 against Hawaii, unless they ABSOLUTELY have to have him today. Lewis is a capable pitcher. Remember though, if Pimmentel throws 6 today, He would be available for a full game in the world Championships. Japan will be in that game, and will NOT be able to throw their ace either, due to their rotation managment. If cal knows Japan can't throw their ace in the Champonship game, I feel they are more likely to do what I have Proposed.
Today: Lewis and Rezineck.
Friday: Pimmentel @ Hawaii.
Sunday: Lewis and maybe the black kid from last night.

Florida will throw Bichette, their ace. He can keep this game reasonably close.

That said:
Florida +5.5 (-118) for 5 Units.

Ppeter- Pinnacle has them, they went up around 11. I'm trying to call the editor of the SD Union Tribune to see if the coach has tipped his cap to the local paper.

Just got off the Phone with the Trib

Pimmental is likely to throw tonight. Lewis is the other real option, HOWEVER his arm has been sore. This coach hasn't stuck to the assumed plan well, according to the sports editor. The guy echoed my sentiments that they do need Pimmentel for Hawaii. Lewis should be rested, as he has not thrown since the west championship (6ip, 9 k's 0 walks, 0 er).

And for anyone who is watching,

Japan is now -6 (-118), getting closer to where it started out this morning.

Well, I figured out who the pitcher would be. Fischer (64-68mph) is throwing for Canada.

*Japan is the away team, for covering purposes, this is good.

Canada turned a nice DP to start the game. I really want to see who Japan is throwing.

Japan is throwing Sakamoto. And the line came out at -6, just as I predicted. I am confident in this now. Sakamoto is excellent.

1-2-3 Inning for Sakamoto. 2 K's. Japan has yet to commit an error or throw a wildpitch in this Tournament, including thier home regional.

2-0 Japan, Bottom 3. The Kid for Canada throws hard, but is getting wilder.

2-0 Japan, to the Top of 4. Sakamoto has 6 k's through 3, with just 1 baserunner. We will need 5 runs in 3 innings. Will be interesting to see if in fact Canada cracks under the desperation. Japan seem's very calm. Hope this helps somebody.

The Canada Pitcher has thrown 70 pitches I think. I have a player on the team I coach who is very similar. Lot's of K's, lots of Walks. I usually figure 5 pitches/batter, and he absolutely tires around the 4th Inning.

Excellent opposite field hitting by Japan.

Cashing in this runner from 3rd is very important.

Couldn't do it.

3-0 Japan to the bottom of 4. They will have their 3-hole hitter coming in the 5th.

Canada playing for the cover it appears. They have 1 hit.

We need 3 runs here in 2 innings. Not impossible.

It's raining in Tallahassee, thus making it difficult to observe sorority rush: Day 3 (when any remaining ugly girls go home).

Canada has another kid working in the Bullpen. Not sure who it is, I couldn't makeout what the American Canuck Gary Thorne said.

Great Effort by Fischer. Honestly, the Canada coach should have pulled him an inning ago. When he started crying, there is no way you leave him out there. The kid isn't in control of his emotions, he cont be in control of a baseball.

Excellent at bat by Fumuki. 10 Pitches, 4 fouled off, 3-2 count, 2 rbi double. First hit for him in the LLWS.

I expect Japan's Pitcher to finish the whole game, as he is done for this week anyways.

8-0 Japan.
