phillies game - someone explain this to me...

...bases loaded and 2 outs in the 5th with the pitcher's spot due...you let the pitcher hit. he grounds out to end the inning. then, you take him out for a reliever to start the bottom of the 5th?

It amazes me that some of these managers have jobs. Today Dusty let Prior throw 131 pitches. Cant understand why he and Wood are always hurt. :icon_conf

Well - here's another question

UP 6-4, why the hell does Madsen walk batters???? Just throw a fastball down the middle and let the guy hit it. He has walked two batters and now the bases are loaded.

These pitchers are so concerned with ERA, it sucks - and the one thing that makes it worse is the arbitration process where these things actually matter.

Just wait until Urbina gets his chance, he doesn't even attempt to throw a strike until he's walked the bags full(a graduate of the Jose Mesa Academy of Bullpen BS)
