Anyone like the OVER 7.5 in the NYM/AZ game tonight?

Vasquez (AZ) threw a good game last time out but the Mets have been hitting the cover off the ball the last 2 games. Vasquez has been known to give up runs prior to his last time out.

Any thoughts?

Pedro will pitch at LEAST 7-8 innings because of what happened the last time he pitched - he left with an 8-0 lead and didn't get the win .... and you know how these prima donna type players worry about themselves even though they talk about a TEAM:)

That means Pedro will bat 3-4 times too and the Mets can't keep going like this. Neither team has had to use its good relief pitchers for 2 games, so they will be rested too. I do NOT like the over at all.

Love the under here. Vasquez will silence Mets bats tonight and Pedro is Pedro. Vasquez has a 2.23 era at home this year.

I have made the Over 8 (+105) my selection in Tulsa's MLB Daily OPEN Invitational Best Bet thread. I just find that a goodly number of Pedro games find their way Over the posted totals.

Where do you see that ERA for Vazquez at home? I see him at 5.16 for an ERA at home at jimfeist.com.

I'm going with the OVER 8 -104 here.

I got Under 8. I think Pedro is none too happy about losing so many games recently despite pitching lights out. The Mets bats have to slow down after the last few nights.

It looks like Curt got some bad information, but it did not hurt him this time.

just go to espn / baseball find your player and click on splits.

Here's J. Vasquez

Thanks Deric. I'll have to look there more often.

It looks like the UNDER was the play here. Perhaps the Mets were tired out from hitting so much the previous 2 nights like was mentioned by kbhirsch. This is what makes betting so difficult. I have been looking at trends. The trick is to know when the trend will end.

I was wrong on my info but right on my pick. I posted the info which was posted by another guy on another site. Sorry for not researching his info. I did like the under a lot anyway with Pedro against Vasquez, who can be a very good pitcher. Plus after seeing the Mets score so much the previous 2 nights,I figured it would not happen a 3rd time.
