I am in the middle of the hurricane down here in South Florida. I still have power at the current moment, but the power has been going on and off for hours. Most of my friends are now without power. Looks like it will be a day or two with no TV and no internet for me. Some things you just dont appreciate until you do not have them. Tonight is going to suck. Enjoy power guys!

I was without power for 20 days after Andrew in 92

Soaked down here (South Miami). Katrina could cause serious power outages cause she's slow, 6mph.....she will be hammering South Florida all night according to forecasts.....

I remember the blackout in the northeast 2 years ago. I was without power for close to a whole day. After 12 hours I really was going stir crazy. I never talked as much to my girlfriend at the time before or since that night.

Wish I had one with me here tonight. Only myself and my right hand tonight. Just hope that the cable and electricity stay on. Still has been going off and on, but the majority of my friends are without power. Over 240,000 with no power in Broward County right now. Take care Kermit.

Good luck to all of ya in south florida tonight. Here in Daytona beach we're just expecting rain. I fell somewhat blessed tonight,I'll have power tonight and only 3 inches of rain on friday. Again good luck and be safe. YOURMOUTH

We didn't even have a hurricane or even rain or thunderstorms in Calif. last night and we still lost our power for 13 hours.

Hope all is well in Florida for everyone. My mother(95) lives in the Ft. Lauderdale area...but shes been through these many a time!

Gotta love S. florida. However, those Hurricanes have got to make you think twice about living there year round. I feel for you guys.
