Anybody want to meet in Vegas the first weekend in November? It's my birthday, and my favorite band of all time is playing at the MGM Grand. I still have never seen them in concert, and they will only be around so many years. Just throwing it out there, if there a lot of U2 fans on this site.

That would be very interesting!

But can we get tickets?

I suspect the price will be 300$ per ticket, & one must have connections to get them.....

I paid $200 in Philly a few months back, brokers are ridiculous, concert prices are off the charts, I remember when $20 was high.

BTW Illlini, its been a while since we rated this CD, I think its spectacular...its different but has just enough U2 in it, City of Blinding Lights was an incredible opener in concert.

Hey Illi, what day is your birthday? Coops is the 5th, I just mentionned the thread to him and I get "Is that what you're doing for my birthday? Great lets go!" :lolBIG: Would be a party:party: but I think once a year is sufficient :lolBIG:

Thumper, mine is the 6th. And it's the big 30 for me! I think we should all start with $50 for Operation U2. Go all in 4 times on only very strong plays, and the trip is paid for. Similar to what we started to do for the WSOP fund. We all started with $100 and were going to go all in 7 times to get $9,000. If we hit it, we were going to all buy in for 10 grand at the main event. We hit our first 3, and then we all quit. Well, we didn't exactly quit, but nobody posted any more suggested plays. Let's start a team!

The teamwork part of it was the most fun. We all had veto power for any pick. Therefore, when we all agreed that it was an all-in play, it was a very strong play! I really believe we would have hit the 7-teamer if we would have kept going.
