Feel free to fade away. I'm not doing that well lately.

LAA/TB under 9.5 -111
Santana/Fossum
Angels haven't been hitting well.

Min/Tex under 11 -106
Lohse/Loe
Neither team hitting well lately. Both pitchers pitching well.

Playing unders in great hitting ballparks with 4 average to below average pitchers going is never a good idea. Just my 2 cents.

I always value your viewpoint sb.

The thing I often look for is when a line is off based upon the reputation of say, the pitcher or the ballpark. Colorado went under at home a lot lately for example.

Tampa Bay has gone under 6 out of their last 10 games at home. The Angels have not been hitting well either. Both pitchers, while average to below average, have been pitching well in their last couple games. With the exception of one game for Fossum, each pitcher has not given up more than 3 earned runs per game in the last 7 outings.

Texas is another example of a ballpark getting too much respect for run production yet Texas went under their last 3 games at home. Lohse for Min has not given up more than 4 earned runs in his last 10 games. Loe is a bit of a mystery to the Twins so I figure he has the potential to get a few strikes past the Twins who have not scored well in their last 5 games with the exception of one game of 8 runs.

Thanks for chiming in. I seem to be missing another viewpoint sometimes and an opposing opinion often gets me to think whether my choice is valid or not.

This was a tale of 2 cities. Both games had similarities. They were both in hitters ballparks both with marginal pitchers. Each game had teams that had been struggling to score runs.

So what was the result? One game goes way over and the other game goes way under. This is what makes betting baseball so tough. Especially 1st games of series where teams can get a renewed hope with a change of venue.

Thanks J-Man. Sometimes I just can't figure this game out. Perhaps it's time to follow the pros.

One goes over and one stays under. Figured that was the best case scenario with those two. Better luck tomorrow!
