#1 - last time I saw a survey (which was like 2-3 years ago) - the majority of the French WORSHIP Lance. Same charge others have made against him. All fluff now since there is no way to go back in time for those other samples.

#2 - Lance is the greatest rider for that tour - but I'm sure he'll even admit that he's not anywhere close to the best cyclist ever. If you wander off of OLN and the love in with Lance (all justified - he's owned the tour), read up on some riders of the past -- namely Eddy Merckx.
