A 7- team match play of $600 is worth about $400 to me. The BJ shot is worth about $6000 ( including trip). So the prizes differ in value by a factor of about 15. The parlay is about 32X harder to hit as a 12-teamer.

On the surface the 7-teamer appears to be the better value. The problem I see with it is by picking the smaller parlay ( 128 combos) there is a good chance your entry is duplicated resulting in a split prize, highly unlikely for that to happen with the 12 teamer.

I think best strategy if picking the 7-teamer is to pick as late as possible and make sure your entry doesn't match anyone else's. The number of entries is a factor, also.

I think I'll play the 12-teamer initially, but likely change gears later.

What are you guys going to do ?

I hope no one is dumb enough to intentionally copy anothers picks, I'd like to think that happens accidentally.

If you took the time to check every players picks so as to make sure you didn't accidently duplicate somebody elses picks then the contest has no value anymore IMHO.

Hi Randy: Sorry you didn't win your hand at GN, or attend the dinner. As far as checking it takes me about one minute to scroll thru and verify that what I want is still open.

Yes, I noticed a lot of 5-6-7 when they were longshots at DM. I can see duplication much more easily there with big favs.

simple. a tie should go to the first person who posted the picks case closed. and a small consolation to anyone else. :103631605

Not a bad idea !

Given the number of picks being submitted, the 7-teamer is a better deal than the 12-teamer. Here's why, IMO.

Pick the 7-banger get your $600 freeplay, complete it with another 5-teamer, on another day , if you desire. You'll have a full card to pick from. let's say the 5-teamer pays about 25:1, that will yield about 13k, and you don't have to win the BJ hand !

I just missed it Friday, had first 6 in,lost late game. I get so close with these !

Make sure you play at least the $50 a week at Sky, no reason not to, it's a minimal requirement.
