I totally disagree with the notion that one should not think of their balance as actual money!!!

I fall prey to this ideal every time my balance swells up and i start doing silly things like playing parlays or even casually betting or forcing a play not because i need the win or even like the play but i simply want something to root for during that evenings game!!!

Bad bad move!!!! I always consider it money, no matter what...That way when i lose say 5 units, it hits me hard and unforgetfully that you have just dumped 5k out of your wallet (assuming that your single unit is 1k)

Other than that the rest of the article is ok

And I whole heartedly agree

I actually fist heard the school of thought from someone commenting on Stu Ungar and the whomever it was said "To him the chips were just a tool used to get more chips." And it helped out my poker tremendously.
