I have 3 teams who are flying under the radar and one that is under the Super Bowl radar. First sleeper is Arizona Cardinals. Green has only had 3 teams not have a winning record in all of his years in NFL. Defense is top notch and I believe talent is there on offense if Warner or McCown can step up. Throw in fact Seahawks and Rams look down, this could be their year. They were 2 ot 31-28 losses to 49ers away from making playoffs ly. New Orleans is my 2nd sleeper. All 3 teams in in NFC South have gone to a SB or NFC Championship Game in last 5 years (TB,Car,ATL). If Brooks can avoid turnovers and Saints defense can stop the run they have a chance. They play well within division so must take care of games outside of division to be there. Third sleeper for me is Cincinnati Bengals. This team only has to learn to stop the run to win their division. They are very talented on offense but run defense has hurt them past 2 years. I have a gut feeling that Marvin Lewis will have defense ready this year. I predict all 3 of these teams will at least make playoffs. My Super Bowl sleeper is the J-e-t-s, Jets,Jets,Jets. Yes the NY Jets will represent the AFC in the SB. NE has lost both their coordinators, lost depth on offensive line and lb corps, and has a hellacious schedule. Jets got their missing piece in drafting Nugent in 2nd round. Jets will take the next step this year by winning division, getting at least a first round bye, and march to Detroit. What are your sleepers?

I like both, the bengals and the Cards. bet them both over, 6/1 on the Bengals for the Division. 50/1 SB. cards 100/1 SB. Like both squads at this point. I still think Seattle will be decent this year but agree on your assesment of the rams

I'm with you on the Bengals. If their D gets it together, they'd be my pick for sleeper of the year. Not a bad backup QB in Kitna either.

Cards, I know, are supposed to have a pretty good D this year. But Quincy Carter? yuk. And they've got the worst fans in the league, the worst owners, and are the lowest valued franchise in the NFL. I went to a Card/Jets game in Phoenix last year, and there were definitely more Jets fans then Card fans. All you heard throughout the stadium was 'J-E-T-S-JETS-JETS-JETS'.

If the Bears start Orton immediately, they can win 10 games.

Tooran,

Cardinals have annually had the worst attendance but they had sold more tickets in March than they had all of ly so attendance should be on the upswing. Like when the Cardinals were in STL, fair weather fans show up when they start winning. I predict they win NFC West and host first playoff game. LOL.

trytrytry,

I don't know about 6 game improvement but Week 1 vs Rams is looking very intriguing. Rams poor road team, offensive line still weak, 49ers played them tough for 3 out of 4 halves (discount 1st half of game in SF), fact they are rival, and probably will dedicate game to fallen roomate lines up well for su victory. In fact, right now pretty certain that will be the way I go in Week 1.

I do recall hearing about a resurgence of interest there, and I think they're getting a new stadium (?) and some better players. Hard for me to picture a raucous playoff game there (atmosphere sucked last year), but a few wins here and there would probably put that retirement city on its ear. Much like the Suns did. Still have a problem with the QB though...

Bears might....MIGHT...win 3 games this year. But I'm with you on AZ...I think we might've talked about it at the bash...I know i talked to someone about it. Arizona is going to win the NFC West.....Superbowl, no chance. but they will finally win the west and be in the playoffs. Carolina will be my other sleeper. They will have a better showing this year...bad start last year but will put it together to make it to the playoffs. Vikes, shoe in for Superbowl!!

Bears will win more than 3 games this year with that defense. How many more depends on their qb. Faster they get Blake in there, the better.

If I were a Green Bay fan, I wouldn't be real optimistic. They might be the team that takes the big fall down. Outmatched on both lines.

Maybe the Bears can work out a trade with Tennessee, Benson for Volek.

I like Arizona and Cinci.
I've followed Cinci for the last few years, Marvin Lewis has this team on the right track. THeir offense is explosive, if their defense can catch up they will catch alot of teams by surprise.
Arizona I think had a really good draft, Dennis Green has done a lot of good things out west as well. In that conference, I think they have a shot at the wildcard at least this year.
