Another disappointing loss in Washington as Cards just had nothing for Loaiza.Without run support Suppan wont win many games.Hate to see Bucs is on the other side here but....

Today: Marlins -148

Forget what the Cubs did to Willis last time they faced him.He was beaten up two more times consecutively after that start but since then has been lights out.In his L3 starts hes 2-1 w/ an era of 1.23 with the one loss a 1-0 defeat. This season in day games he's 5-1 (Fish are 5-2) and has an era of 2.17 only allowing 2 HRs in 49 ip.Maddux on the other hand is 4-7 in day games w/ an era of 5.04 and has given up 18 HRs in 105 day ip (Cubs 6-11 in these starts).Willis has also proved to be solid on the road going 7-4 ,2.97 era and only giving up 3 HRs in 79 ip.Maddux cant say the same about Wrigley as he's only 3-6 with a 4.92 era (Cubs 4-8 in these starts).Im pointing out the home runs here for a reason....when the Cubs dont homer in a game theyre 11-29, bat .232, and score 2.5 rpg.I dont think they get a homer today.Willis is sure to remember the 8 er lashing he took earlier and has been very effective pitching in Wrigley. Both these teams come in hitting well over the last week or so but the Cubs are only 1-6 in the L7 and are 26-41 after a loss this season. They put up DD hits yesterday and still lost.Theyve had trouble putting offense together consistantly (exc for when they were in COL) so Im guessing the bat will be a little quiet today. The Marlin BP easliy has the edge here but Willis IMO will go deeper than Maddux today.Im thinking we get to see the Cubbies BP by the 6th which is why I layed off the Under here as well.Just think the Fish will hit Maddux more than the Cubs get to Dontrelle today.
