Did u hear that old guy, during the interview....

The ESPN guy was asking stupid questions anyway, and the guy is 86 years old, so probably couldnt hear him too well, but he first asks "how much for this horse"? and the old guy says "huh"? he asks again, if there is a price for him, the old man says "no, if i sold him, i wouldnt have the horse"....

So then the interviewer gets REAL dumb, and says, "You played minor league baseball, and were in World War II", how does this horse compare? ....the old man says "how in the hell can i compare this horse winning 8 races in a row, with the GOD DAMN BATTLE OF THE BULGE".......:lolBIG:

Interviewer says "thank you" and leaves......

They were stupid questions, but gotta love the old man......

Kenny Main referred to him afterwards as "Crusty".......:lolBIG:

"how in the hell can i compare this horse winning 8 races in a row, with the GOD DAMN BATTLE OF THE BULGE".......

This has to go down as a CLASSIC quote.

How in the hell can I compare this horse winning eight races in a row with the Goddamned Battle of the Bulge!!??

I'm just retyping it as it feels so good to type and cement into my memory....great and wonderful. I hope my mind is that good when I am his age (if I get to his age.) tulsa

Missed the interview, but love the owner's response. A microphone in hand does expose some very stupid individuals (mostly media types)

Classic Right Up There W/That Normandy Beach

interview of a couple of yrs ago. When this young guy has this 80 yr old vet of the landing on. He says to him "you`re 80 yrs young right Harry" the old GI says "up your ass". Which is what most of us would like to say. Also yesterday some gal asked him "why is this horse so special" he looks at her and says "because he can run fast"!
