Most pros doubt it or don't care, but a real reason for me to look for "antibot" sites that acknowledge the problem and combat it.

After reading the link in the first post in this thread, and knowing that this type of collusion/cheating exists, can anyone tell me why they play poker online?

When I went to my local gambling store I asked them about online collusion. The guy said that reputable sites try to track users who sit at the same tables. However, that is not possible in live games.

All one has to do is get 2 or 3 friends and when you have a poor hand you lay your hand down 1 way. When you have a good hand you lay your cards down another way. Pretty hard to prove.

The thing that impressed me about the guy at the local gambling store is that he mentioned how bad the rake was in terms of percentage of the pot. It made it nearly impossible to win.

because i make money.

With thousands upon thousands of awful players, bonuses and rakeback, its pretty tough not to turn a profit even if you encounter the occasional collusion and the alleged "bot"
