Anyone with HBO, watch "Rome" tonight at 8pm CST. This show will be right up there with The Sopranos and Deadwood.

Just seen a replay of the first episode...Cant say i am too impressed. The acting is not all that great, dialogue just gets the movie by, first episode definately has little to no depth at all, story plays like a total days of our lives soap only set in
Rome from 2000 years ago. Some titties here and there....

compared to the show "weeds" on showtime, i think Rome is a lousy effort put forth by HBO....

Second episode looks promising however....

The show was OK, but I have a dumb question - why do all the characters have British accents? They're in Rome.

2 words for this POS show....

BOR-ING!

Turned that mess off 20 minutes into it. Even the hot chick in the tub that seemed to be inviting her son in to join her(Yuck!!) couldn't keep me watching. Horrible is all I can say. Hope "The Wire" returns soon.

I'm going to miss Six Feet Under. One of the best drama series of all time. At least we still have Soproanos, Entourage and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

I wasn't impressed either, but Deadwood got a slow start too - and I love it now, so I will give Rome another chance (Octavious doesn't look ver "Roman")

D2 - was the ending of 6ft under not the best ending to any show you have ever seen? - I loved that (mainly the final 10-15-min.)

Agree with you 2 about six feet under. Great ending to that one is right. It was right up there with the "Cheers" and "M*A*S*H" endings, IMO.

never seen entourage or six feet under!!!! With entourage i just cant get into the story...It just smirks of hollywood spoilt brat living a life i dont really feel would intrigue me at all...

Six feet under, i knew first hand that there was a bunch of gay sex in it...Now i dont want to sound that homophobic but i just dont like that stuff pushed in my face.....I already invested enough time in "The Wire" only to find that the meanest baddest m@theFcker in the show is a gay dude!!!! A gay gangsta!!!!!

any way susbtance and depth of The Wire pretty much balances out all that crap. It is a good show that tackles crime, specifically Drugs in a realistic manner unlike all that CSI bullshit!!!!

curb your enthusiasm is the funniest comedy of them all, and i do like the Sopranos too!!!!

Oh and that show about the circus freaks and stuff also had me captivated for a while!!!! We shall see what the future holds for that one
